Since your Lenovo IdeaPad 130-15 laptop was initially fast, then slowed down, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

This is a great entry level laptop. Even with it's 15" display, it's still a fairly light laptop. It boots up quick and opens/closes programs quick as well. We are not planning to do much "computing" withit, as it's primary use will be web based applications, school work and general internet surfing.

    Dissatisfied Customer

Tried to be a good boyfriend and get my gf a laptop for Christmas so she could do research to find apartments, update her resume, and have a place to save all her pictures. From the time it takes to press the "on" button, to when you get to the home desktop screen, it's a good 10 - 15 minutes. And that's just the start. It's incredibly slow in every way imaginable. I feel embarrassed to have gotten her something so frustratingly ineffective. It's sad and very telling to the integrity of Lenovo as a brand/company when all of their computer-generated responses to dissatisfied customers of this pc are just simply stating the specs and it's "best uses" (even though the review is clearly outlining the contrary to those "best uses") rather than trying to offer assistance or help anyone. There are countless ways to better spend $250, don't make the same mistake.
