I click the Chrome icon to open the browser, then I walk away for about 5 minutes and come back and it's usually on the home page. I've stopped waiting around for it to load, it just takes WAY too long. The laptop is also pretty heavy so if you're looking for a light laptop that's easy to transport, look elsewhere.

Posted .Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. The Lenovo IdeaPad 130-15 laptop is a mid-level, moderate use configuration, with its AMD A6-9225 processor. After full charge i thought of watching a 2 hour movie on it in prime the laptop shutdown half way through the movie. Which is terrible for a new laptop. The battery is charged 100% and is is lasting only 1 hour on full charge. I am planning to return it

Streaming a movie would be considered a heavy workload for the battery. To maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

Low Price - Low Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this laptop because it was the ideal fit for my wife - good price, no bells or whistles, and promised to perform as a general-use e-mail, video-chat, internet surf, video streaming type of laptop. On the first day of the first unit - my wife learned the camera on the laptop was broken (right out of the box). A google search determined the laptop camera is prone to separating from its connections internal to the laptop - which prevents if from being used. Best Buy was great, and exchanged the laptop - but we had the EXACT same issue on the second one. Since the store was closed and she couldn’t return it that day, she tried to play a movie only to find out the disc reader wasn’t working on the SECOND unit. Suffice to say - she returned the second for a full refund and went with a different brand entirely. Best Buy was great to work with throughout the whole process.

With regard to playing commercial DVD movies, you need to install Media Player software that is compatible with the commercial movies software. Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system does not come with Media Player software pre-installed. You can create your own CDs/DVDs with the software installed.
