Reliable Laptop for General Purpose Use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased at a good price for personal use (to complement my work issued laptop). Has been working reliably for 5+ years. 4GB Memory, 500GB Hard Drive, and CPU is very good for general purpose PC applications (spreadsheets, presentations, documents), watching DVD movies, and modest web-based & streaming applications. 4GB Memory was sufficient initially (years 1-4) but is limiting performance in year 5 as additional applications were added and/or work in the background (i.e. real time virus protection, application updates etc).

Perfect for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new laptop for school work and this one is perfect for what I need. It's not super fast but that's ok. I only need office and the internet, but of course I will use it for social media and other projects I have. It's light, slim, and easy to use. Love the keyboard, too. Great for the price!

Much improved from last year's model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so pleased with the model I bought last year, when my desktop died I bought another $200 Lenovo laptop. This one, with the AMD A6 processor did the one thing the Celeron couldn't - edit videos. Also, there's a noticeable speed increase in some other jobs. Another USB port would be nice, as would speakears that could actually be heard, but headphones or Bluetooth to my receiver beats any laptop speakers. I'm a demanding user, but not a heavy gamer, and have no idea why most spend more than this. It's all there - speed, memory, OS, and great multitasking. I just wouldn't expect it to run non-stop day after day without a reboot. I do love how fast it boots. A USB Sound adapter gave me the I/O flexibility my desktop had and a $3 USB hub and a wireless trackball completed the system.

Ok Computers but only Charging up to 60 percent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I notice that this computer is a little slow but that's ok for me. When try to fully charge my computer, it only goes up to 60 percent of charge and nothing further. I don't know what that mean but I think I'm going to try and reset the computer and see what that does. Other than that issue it seems to be and ok computer.

Frustrating to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a laptop to use only for simple tasks such as browsing the internet. I use a desktop for anything important and thought it would be nice to have a laptop so that I could use the internet throughout the house. On paper this laptop would be great. It's not built for multi-tasking, but that shouldn't have been a problem given my needs. Unfortunately this laptop was just frustrating to use. In 14 days worth of use I had to do a hard reset at least three times because it would freeze. The computer often took over 3 minutes to boot up, and when it finally did start it was usually very slow and clunky. I turned off all the data tracking features that Windows 10 would allow me to turn off and the only things I installed where Chrome, Avast Antivirus (free version) and the KeyTweak App (more on that to come). Yet even with so few processes running and practically nothing installed this computer was incredibly slow. In addition, I had to disable tapping on the touchpad because even when I set the sensitivity to the lowest possible setting it would still often mistake a very light brush stroke from my finger as a tap. Also, as many other users have mentioned the keyboard layout is very frustrating in that the right shift key is half the normal size and is displaced to allow for an up arrow key. I know there's a rep from Lenovo who reads these reviews and offers suggestions. I did end up downloading the KeyTweak app and remapping the right shift and up arrow key as he/she suggested. That made things a little better but it's annoying that I had to remap my keyboard at all and I'd say it still wasn't that user friendly because the arrow keys then had to have a very bizarre layout. Also the speakers are awful; the max volume is rather low and it has a very metallic/tinny sound. I tried very hard to like this computer, but it was just impossible for me to use it without getting frustrated. My desktop which runs Windows 7 and is several years old and my wife's MacBook Air which she bought in 2014 run without any problems whatsoever but this brand new laptop/notebook couldn't even scroll through facebook for more than 5 seconds without being clunky and slow. As a result I ended up returning it. I just couldn't make this computer work and I can't recommend it. I do want to give major props to Best Buy for being great with their return policy.

Inefficient, flawed product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like to watch the blue circle go round and round or having your computer freeze up on you randomly for no apparent reason just from doing basic tasks then this is the computer for you. This computer was painfully slow from day one and within 4 months the hard-drive went bad. Fortunately the Geek Squad was fantastic and sent it back to Lenono. I was pleasantly surprised that Lenovo replaced the hard-drive for free but it's still just as slow and continues to freeze up on me regardless what I try to do to prevent that from happening. One of the worst purchases I ever made, this is an extremely inefficient computer and I know it's the computer, not anything else that could cause it to be as slow as it is and causing the notorious blue circle to appear often. Simple tasks that should take just a few minutes take 2-4x as long to complete. I didn't expect this computer to have blazing speed, I knew it's basically an entry level computer but Lenovo should be ashamed of themselves for selling such an inferior and flawed product. It's been an aggravating experience to say the least but hopefully I'll get a much better computer soon. I honestly don't believe I can get anything worse.

Posted .This is an entry level computer with its AMD A6 processor and 4GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son plays runescape on this which is a more demanding game then others. He set the graphics to medium and they look great. He can play while chatting with other players too. It plays DVD movies well. I was able to go into advanced settings for the sound and got it louder. I could easily use the Bluetooth and my speaker if I wanted music playing louder. It did take awhile to get use to the different location of the right shift key. I kept hitting enter by mistake. I'm ok with it now. My son didn't like the placement of the arrow keys. We both use a wireless mouse with it. We set up separate user accounts and noticed lagging and the laptop saying we couldn't do certain things because another user was on. We thought logging in would log out the other person but it doesn't. You have to click on the Windows icon then find the little person icon then log out so it doesn't create problems for the next person. We are still learning how everything works on it. I'm very happy with it and more happy we got it when it was on sale for $200.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. You are correct, with more than one user account, unless the user "logs out" the system will continue to allocate system recourses (RAM) to that user, even though another user logs in. This may cause the system to notify the new user that system resources are running low. This is normal. Just have the user not on the computer log out and the system resources will now become available to the new user.

So far I love this laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for about 3 weeks now and I must say I really do like it! I was in need of a serious upgrade from my desktop computer. Since I am accustom to using Lenovo laptops for work I decided to buy this one. Plus, the price was really good and it came with the latest OS Windows 10. Prior to, I thought I was going to upgrade my old desktop computer so I ended up purchasing the Microsoft office software. But as a result I ended up installing the software on my new laptop. There are two things that could be better with the laptop, which the first one is the volume of the speaker. I have it up to the highest pitch of 100, and it still sounds pretty low. I have a wireless speaker that I use for like music and online streaming. And, second the battery outlet is on the left-side instead of the right-side of the laptop. I thought this was kind of awkward, but maybe it's just me. Otherwise the laptop is functioning quite well!

Good Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this Lenovo laptop and so far I am satisfied. I read the reviews and did some research on laptops and this one matched my budget and what I needed (Microsoft office suites, checking email and surfing internet). At the store, customer service was great. I told him what I wanted and he actually recommended this very device. There were a couple of reviews that stated they had an issue with the shift key on the right being smaller; it is smaller ,but it has not been an issue for me why typing. Great purchase-

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this computer at a tremendous price during the 2017 Black Friday season and have been very pleased with its performance and behavior. I do, however, seem to get only USB 2 speeds out of either of the USB ports when a known good USB 3 external HDD is attached. And while the specs listed at Best Buy state that one of the USB ports is 3.0 the manual at the Lenovo website doesn't state which of the two is the USB 3 connector. The manual makes no mention of there being a difference between the ports. Are both USB 2? If not, which one is supposed to be USB 3?

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. You can identify the USB 3.0 port as the one with the blue connector within the port. The USB 2.0 port has a black connector.

very happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop for 2 reasons. #1 I had broke my school laptop just recently and needed a new one right away, this was very cheap. #2 It received the most amount of positive reviews of any laptop I've seen in this price range. I am very satisfied with this product so far. If you are looking for a gaming computer this is not it. You cannot expect to find one in this price range. However, if you are looking for a very basic laptop for everyday use, this is perfect. I can always upgrade to 8GB ram later on if I feel like it. Until then, it works perfect for what I need it for, which is word documents, web browsing and an occasional Netflix show.

Good Laptop except wifi extremely slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love lenovo produce, especially laptop. But for this lenovo ideapad 110 laptop, I have extremely slow wifi. I use wifi the upload/download speed is 2 mbps/0.2 mbps, while all my other laptop wifi using the same router is faster than 50mbps/50mbps, if I plugin Ethernet on the same router, my speed increase to 65 mbps/68mbps. And this is the same thing if I install Linux OS and change wlan drivers on windows, the wifi is still very very slow. In the mean time I also purchase ideapad 320 from best buy, and have exactly the same problem. Don't know what I should do with this problem.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. This system uses the newest and fastest version of WiFi, 802.11AC. Though 802.11AC is backward compatible, your router may need a firmware update. Try using the device in another WiFi environment, if possible, one that is 802.11AC compatible, see if the speed improves.

great laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought my Lenovo laptop today since my old one was causing problems. Anyways so far it's awesome and it runs so much cooler than my old gateway laptop. And for the price you can't beat that especially for a new laptop with the size of hard drive it has and memory. great job best buy this is the second laptop I've bought from you my last one lasted almost 12 years it still works but it's getting old and worn out.
