    Good replacement for the money

Bought this to replace an HP Pavillion with Windows Vista and dual core processor. This machine came with 6gb memory and 500 gb on the hard drive and a quad core processor. Not lightning fast but faster than my old dual core and seems to handle the recording software I use for voice acting which is Acoustica Standard for voice and Audacity for multitrack mixing. Waiting for Protools First and will see what happens with a heftier recording software. Some people have complained about not enough USB ports but it comes with two 2.0 USB's and one 3.0 USB. I use the 3.0 for my audio interface and one 2.0 for my wireless mouse and the other 2.0 is for the webcam. The VGA port runs the monitor that is in my booth so I have enough ports to get the job done. So far I am pretty satisfied with performance. Windows 8.1 was not a big deal and is easy to use for me, besides Windows 10 will be out soon anyway as an upgrade. Two things I'm not crazy about is that this computer came with an addware called Superfish but Lenovo did send out a removal tool to get rid of it, so no more weird adds jumping on to my pages. The other thing is the keyboard. The touch seems a little weak and sometimes the keys make a squeaking sound while your typing. I don't do a lot of typing but if I did I might have more of a problem with this keyboard. Other than those two things, I would say I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Its a nice laptop. Its affordable and very fast. No lag. My only concern is the keyboard for being so flimsy. When you type on it the whole keyboard seems to bend. But I like it overall. Its a nice laptop.

This computer is great for gamers. I am actually a youtuber, and this computer will run a very demanding game and still record with the software open. I highly recommend this to hardcore and non hardcore gamers alike, though you may have to upgrade the ram. All in all, a steal for this price!

I had been looking for a decent, inexpensive laptop for my wife who is going back to school. I seen this one on Best Buys 'deal of the day' for $249 and could not pass it up! Other than all of the bloatware pre-loaded on it we are very happy with it. Will have to see how it does over time

so i got this guy just to hang around the house and be able to watch tv upstairs with my family while still being able to stay connected to the rest of the world with a much bigger screen then my iphone 6. so with that said let me list the pros and cons pro's: cpu is pretty quick the 8 core cpu has 4 cpu cores and 4 gpu cores it has the r5 graphics and the 6410 is pretty speedy now if ur looking to play bf4 on this your out of your mind i'd say this makes a good league of legends pc but thats about it as far as gaming goes plugged in everything maxed out u get about 30-24fps however lower everything down to medium or low-medium settings in league and u get a easy 54fps and a very playable game on an alternate monitor or the built in monitor. gaming should only being done plugged in and i do suggest upgrading the ram and the hard drive for speed reasons only but i will list that in the cons as well. cons: the built in hard drive that comes with the pc is SOOOOOOOO slow its a 5400rpm 2.5 hhd and is slower then any hard drive i've every used. the ram it comes with 6gb 1 4gb card and 1 2gb card why they wouldn't just opt for the extra 2gb to make it a more balanced computer is beyond me but hey i didn't design it so i can only rate it. now i did upgrade the hard drive to a ssd right away dropping the 500gb included hard drive to a 240gb pny gaming ssd couldn't help but to try it this increased the speed soooooo much only issue i ran into is lenovo doesn't like you to play with the pre built computers and customize it so they didn't include a driver disc. with that said i called customer service to find out that it needed a install disc that cost 120$ i laughed and hung up. installed the old hard drive copied the partition labeled lenovo which yes they installed all the bloat ware and mess onto a portion of the 500gb drive and even have the audacity to partition off the drive and name it lenovo. But copy this over to a flash drive you need a min of 2gb to do so but i reinstalled the ssd and boom everything worked without this process the wifi adapter will not work which is why i'm explaining how to do it . with all that said that was my only gripe had it hadn't been a hassle to figure out then i would have given 5 stars as the computer works great for what it is for a integrated graphics card and a decent at best cpu with a mediocor at best hhd and an unknown reason for 6gb ram which im sure even though it is 1600mhz ram it's probably only running at 1333mhz but add in the ssd the computer runs and works very well after some minor upgrades i personally will be buying 16gb of 1600mhz ripjaw ram for it and seeing how that works out for it as yes u can upgrade it to 16gb of 1600mhz ddr3l ram so look for a update sometime in the next two weeks

I bought this laptop after researching for about a month. I chose this laptop because of price for performance, I have been building computers for along time so I know a few things. I paid 335 with tax on Aug 14 2015 for this. I was able to download a 4 gig file and play Steam games at the same time. It was tested on CS Source, no lag and not choppy. I also tested the streaming and play back of 1080 HD videos on youtube. Everything is smooth, you can't expect the performance of an Intel I7 but you ain't paying an I7 price either. I would buy this again and recommend it to family and friends.

    Mostly Great Hardware

Hardware and construction of this laptop is nice. Thin and light device, solid APU, and a decent amount of RAM. The hard disk is incredibly slow and probably it's biggest drawback. The bloatware included from Lenovo doesn't help any either. McAfee slows the machine down substantially. And if you want to game, the display is lacking some. I'm still working on cleaning the bloatware off, and it's performance in games could be due to this. I intend to replace the hard disk with a Solid State Drive now that they're dropping in price, in theory this machine will be substantially improved. Windows 10 Technical Preview does not perform well on this machine, nor any other I've tested it on. So hopefully Microsoft will improve that before it goes live this fall.

I purchased this for a friend so I only used it for a few days. During those few days I had time to examine the quality of build and speed of the processor, etc. I was impressed with it's thinness, how light it was and thought it had a nice build quality. The AMD A8 Processor was adequate for most computer functions. Not a gaming PC by any means, but the ad does not portray it as one. I immediately upgraded it to Windows 10 and it functioned well with this OS. I'd have given it five (5) stars, but it not spend enough time with it. I paid $249 for it and the next day it went up to $299, still not a bad deal for this laptop.

I have had this computer for a week now. I was unsure about buying a Lenovo, but I took a chance as it was a "deal of the day".I am still testing it out, but I decided to write a review since there wasn't many reviews on this product. This computer has a nice look to it. It has a great speaker and the Bluetooth feature is very nice. I like the keyboard, but the mouse pad is debatable. It's oddly placed and the right side will only works if you click the right spot. Once you get use to it, it works fine though. The computer comes with preinstalled software from Lenovo that seems to slow the computer down. Once I deleted the stuff I didn't want the computer speed is much better. The battery seems average for a budget laptop #maybe about 4 hours#. One thing that I am unsure about is the screen resolution. It isn't the best and that is fine, but it makes the print a little hard to read for my 40+ years eyes. That being said, I seem to be adjusting to it #I think#. All and all it's an average computer and I am glad that I am an elite member because 14 days just isn't long enough to test an electronic that is not is use everyday.

My goal was to find a laptop used for internet, email, Word/Excel, etc. that had a big screen (readable at various angle so my spouse could see the screen), large keyboard, decent power, light weight, with generous disk space and over 4GB of RAM and less than $300. You get a lot for the money in this laptop, large LED screen, a decent AMD A8 processor (somewhat comparable to the Intel i3), 500GB HD, and 6GB of RAM. This laptop does not have sleek lines and smooth edges like the other brands but keep in mind, this is a value model. One of the best parts of this laptop is that it doesn't get terribly warm sitting on your lap after you use it for an extended time. It is also very light for such a large footprint. Windows 10 runs just fine on this laptop. Lenova has a good support website with drivers and updates. There is not a lot of bloat software pre-loaded and you can delete what you don't want. Overall, this is a great cheap laptop.

I have had this for two weeks and am very happy with my purchase. I held out for a deal and got this in the beginning of April for $250. Even at its current price tag I'd say its worth it. I got this to do Audio editing. I have so far been able to do some serious multitrack recording and processing without any crashing or freezing. I tested it out with tons of browser tabs open, Spotify, word processor, my audio editting software running and it didn't seem to phase it. The down sides: There is a ton of bloatware, but you can't really avoid that anymore these days. I'd say you can get rid of 2/3 of the Lenovo programs, and definitely get rid of anything by Pokki. They make a start menu for Windows 8.1, but it uses a ton of resources to run. Not worth it, when Windows 10 will be free and have the Start menu. The shell feels a bit flimsy, and the key board its not as solid as I thought it would be, but its very responsive. The positive side to that is that is a very thin, very light laptop. Its exactly what I wanted and I whole hearted recommend it.

If you're looking for a cheap laptop with good specs, this is it. It is not that great performance wise though. The battery life is mediocre. I usually get around 2 hours. It does seem to run a little slow at times. The mouse pad jumps around a lot, even zooming on it's own at times. It's extremely frustrating. I have to fight off the urge to bash my head against the wall every time it happens, which is usually every 10 minutes or so. You're better off using a wireless mouse. I turned off the software that comes with it, which helped but didn't solve the issue. Bluetooth doesn't always connect. I find myself having to remove and re-pair often. If you hate finger prints and smudges, this laptop is your worst enemy. I find myself wiping it down often so stains don't burn in. It feels a little flimsy at times when I'm moving from one spot to another. The edges on the rear are sharp whereas the front is rounded off. Keyboard feels good. Number pad is useful. That's all.

Love this laptop! Bought it to replace an old Toshiba I had purchased about 2 years ago that was slow, did nothing but run updates that did nothing, etc. Lenovo is so much faster with loading, web searches, start up....The only thing I DO NOT like....is that the speakers are on the BOTTOM of the laptop. We connect the laptop to the tv, so we don't really use them anyways. But if I were to look up a quick video or listen to a song, the sound quality just isn't loud enough because of the placement and that is with the volume turned all the way up. Otherwise, Very very happy with the purchase!!
