Tired of sharing a computer at home. The preloaded Windows 8 was created specifically for touch screens. Not sure why it came with this laptop. Battery lasts for 5 hours. Under 5 lbs, thin like MAC Air. Has a DVD player. I'm glad the computer has 6GB. The notepad is super sensitive. Accidentally lean on it...other screens pop up. The mousepad is not centered. If you need to cut + paste, buy a separate mouse $14.99_19.99. Got it at a good price.

This laptop has the gear for any student heading into their college years! The quad-core processor and the 6 gigabytes of DDR3L (Low Voltage) memory make this laptop a great buy for the price. Installation of Windows 10 was a breeze on this laptop! The camera is only 0.3 megapixels, but at this price point, why should that be an issue? As a student pursuing a major in Information Technology, I highly recommend this Lenovo laptop!

I bought this laptop a month ago and it's been working really well for me. I do design work for our college newspaper and did the layout with InDesign almost exclusively on this machine. Photoshop works well on it too, especially since I upgraded the hard drive to a SSD. Make sure Windows 10 is preloaded because I had a hard time upgrading, likely due to driver issues. I liked this laptop so much that I recommended it to a friend and he's enjoying it, too. Dropped one star for the low contrast, highly reflective screen which can be difficult to read in bright light and for being a fingerprint magnet, even on the lid.

I recently bought the Lenovo G50 6GB and it fits great for all my needs microsoft office, skype, web surfing, itunes, etc. Only thing that is disappointing me is the battery life. It does not last very long at all. Everything else is great.

Purchased the laptop yesterday and it was as promised. Large screen and easy to use keyboard. The 6gig of ram was a plus and the speed is excellent. One major issue - the system came pre-loaded with the superfish software by Lenovo. If you have this laptop - check the links provided by Lenovo to detect and remove this malware. I only found out by accident myself.

I use this daily for movie streaming and other daily activities and it is very snappy and quick. I also can perform some moderate gaming on it such as battlefield 4 on low settings

I was reluctant to purchase another laptop and there are so many to choose from that it became overwhelming. This laptop from Lenovo caught my eye and the fact that it came with a 6G of Ram, HDD 500GB, an optical drive and a decent screen resolution, I bought it. I am not particularly savvy when it comes to computers, and I was a bit apprehensive getting into Windows 8. Am I glad I did: this is a user-friendly laptop, since you can switch back and forth between windows 8 and windows 7, at a click. I can tell that I will love Windows 8 but I need to learn a bit more. So far, I am very impressed with this laptop and I highly recommend it to those who (like me) were reluctant to make a purchase.

I love it, it's fast. No lag when streaming videos through Wi-Fi. Easy to upgrade memory and hard drive. I really don't like Windows 8.1. I had another 500GB hard drive that I put in. You have to press the Novo Button on the side to bring up the Bios, in Bios enable Legacy Support, then put I put in my Windows 7 DVD. Then shut it off. Then press the Novo button again to boot from the DVDRW. I installed Windows 7 and went to Lenovo's website and downloaded all the drivers for Windows 7 64 bit. Done Deal without all the Lenovo crapware.

I, too, have had this PC for a short time but it appears to be a quality unit and the $249 price was exceptional. Sound is better then most PCs. Keyboard and display work reasonably well for me. So far it has met my expectations but time will tell.

This laptop performs better than what I expected and once I got it home and upgraded the memory - it really increased its performance and my great first time Lenovo product experience.

I got this laptop on sale and for the price, I really can't complain. It will NOT run graphic intensive games, so if you are looking for a laptop capable of running WoW or the like, this isn't for you. I use mine for bill paying, emailing, writing, and streaming Netflix. It came in super handy when I was in the hospital, too! It does a decent job with basic tasks, so if that is all you require, this is an excellent buy!

This laptop has 6 GB ram and 500 GB HDD and it is more than enough for regular work or study. Lenovo is a good product maker. Reliable and trustworthy.

Ive had this laptop a little while now and I upgraded to windows 10, The laptop is amazing, love it in every way, performance and speed are great. I have the a8 amd g50 500gb harddrive. Would highly recommend this laptop for any kind of use.

This laptop was a great start for web browsing and email but upgraded the hard drive because stored too many games on it it Is a decent gaming pc if you get used to windows 8.1

This was a steal for the price i paid and the look, design and performance of the laptop so far.

Bought this laptop for a family member and so far they haven't had many complaints. Keyboard is pretty cheap but its a value laptop. Good specs and once upgraded to Windows 10 ran much better. Downside this laptop came preinstalled with bloatware and superfish malware. Had to spend a good few hours cleaning it up before it was ready for use. Overall satisfied with purchase.

THE LAPTOP HAS A PHENOMENAL KEYBOARD AND TRACK PAD!!!!!! This laptop is great for all things such as gaming and word processing. You wont find another deal like it

So far everything about this laptop has run as expected... except for the speakers, which for whatever unfathomable reason, are placed on the BOTTOM (underside) of the laptop. Which means unless you have the laptop held above your head, the sound is going to be muffled, especially if placed on any cushioned surfaced. I am just in awe, and not in a good way. External speakers are an option but definitely not convenient. If that doesn't bother you though, this laptop is as good as it gets for the price.

I bought this for my mother for mothers day to replace an older Compaq. It has excellent speed and storage for all she needs to do. It has not only replaced her laptop but also her low-powered tablet!
