I was excited about this laptop because it had very good reviews, but I am disappointed and will be returning it. The battery barely last 2 hours on a full charge. To save battery, you can turn the screen brightness down to a point where you cab barely see the screen in regular light. The battery lasts for 2 20 minute netflix episodes and that is all. Also, it needs to restart all the time and crashes often with driver errors.

Even with 6GB of memory, it was extremely slow. It froze all the time. My cursor disappeared. It was filled with bloat wear. After only 2 weeks, it went into sleep mode and wouldn't come out even with battery removal and restarts. I returned it to Best Buy. When I purchased it, the salesman said it had the best processor, that Intel processors were no longer fast and reliable. This time I was told that the processor used in this Lenovo was terrible. I exchanged the Lenovo for an HP with an Intel Pentium processor. Even though it was only 4GB compared to 6GB, the improvement was dramatic. Avoid this computer if at all possible.

First off, I tried to upgrade the RAM on this machine twice. Both times I got error messages saying that it was "Starting Automatic Repair" then "Diagnosing Your Computer". The first time I did it I thought maybe I had messed up and uninstalled a vital program to the OS. The second time though, I didn't uninstall anything, so it's a problem with the machine, not me. Second, this machine comes with Superfish installed on it. What is Superfish? ~~> SuperFish is a piece of software that is Pre-installed on some Lenovo computers. This software can break the HTTPS encryption used when the web browser on your computer communicates with websites that use the HTTPS protocol to protect sensitive information. Superfish can be uninstalled manually, but if you don't know it's on your machine, or don't know how to uninstall it, you could run into problems. I like Lenovo machines, but this one seems to have some issues. Stay away from it if you want to upgrade the RAM or possibly replace the hard drive. Who knows what issues you might run into there.

Great laptop for the price and quality. I have used Asus in the past and switched to Lenovo and this one did not dissapoint at all.

Excellent value and performance! This laptop is a big improvement over my son's old laptop. We have had it for approximately 3 months and no complaints!

I purchased this laptop just for Web browsing as well as spreadsheet preparation. It works very well for those purposes.

When I got to Best Buy I was planning on buying a hp laptop but then I found this lenovo which seemed like a better deal compared to the hp and I have had it for about a month now and it is amazing!!! lenovo did a great job! no problems yet!

This may be a very good computer but the keyboard layout is exceedingly cramped, due to the inclusion of a numbers keypad. This is great if you are doing a lot of number data entry, but really makes for a poor keyboard overall, as the size of each keys is tiny. My husband's fingers are definitely too big to easily fit on the reduced size keys, and even for me (small-frame woman) it is difficult to type. Also, the keypad is set very far back on the bottom portion of the laptop, making an uncomfortable reach to the keys - my arms, rather than edge of wrists, land on the edge while typing. I would definitely try this one out in the store before purchasing - I selected online and did not pay close enough attention to the details. However, Best Buy quickly processed my return!

I have constant trouble remaining connected to a wireless network, after a varying amount of time the network adapter will drop the connection. Once the connection is dropped it can only be reconnected by putting the computer to sleep (closing it or Start>power>sleep) or restarting it, simply turning wi-fi on and off will not fix the problem. I have checked for updated drivers and this problem occurs on any network, my home, on campus, Starbucks, and friends' houses. This is a nuisance because most of my work is web-based and the networking issue disrupts that. I also had a great deal of trouble working on a 50+ page group research assignment, which involved several pages of spreadsheets, while on Google docs. The computer performed slow and clunky, I ended up using my 6 year old HP Laptop because it did not struggle with the web-based file the way this laptop did at only 4-5 months out of the box. To its credit, the battery life is incredible, and most other functions work seamlessly. Keeping in mind that it is a lower priced laptop than most it is not horrible, but the trouble with maintaining internet connections is inexcusable at any price point.

Great laptop! My husband needed it for work purposes and it has worked well for that.

You get what you pay for with this laptop. Lenovo has all kinds of junk and it slows down the laptop. I haven't tried wiping everything and re-installing what I need. Maybe that's the best solution for this laptop.

I bought two of these laptops, one for my mother and one for my brother. THEY ARE BOTH NOT WORKING PROPERLY!! Straight out of the box the mouse will get stuck on both laptops so that they have to hold down ctrl in order to move the mouse. The screen turns green when they try to watch any videos! Netflix, youtube, ANY VIDEO can turn the screen green! The screen turns orange when accessing the internet! Horrible I bought these NEW! There should have been no issues!! And BOTH laptops have the same issues! Faulty product! I will be returning them! This only gets two stars because the computers are theoretically good basic computers. But I am so disappointed...

MY LAPTOP IS PERFORMING WELL PAST MY EXEPCTIONS, I CAN ALREADY TELL NO... I KNOW THAT IT WILL BE OF GREAT SERVE TO ME IN THE DENSE FUTURE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read all the reviews before purchasing, and boy, am I disappointed. I've had nothing but trouble, including 2 recovery attempts (unsuccessful) in the 43 days I've owned this laptop. It started crashing after the first 'critical' update, and I've had to restart from frozen every day since. Beware...this is not a quality purchase, despite the very low price. It has only gotten worse with the McAfee upgrade. I thought I was prepared for the new Windows format, having owned 3 Windows OS phones, but no...no...I'd prefer to go back to my old TRS 80, running DOS. I gave it two stars for the price, and appearance.

It's been a year since I bought this laptop. It came equipped originally with Windows 8 and upgraded for free to 10. I wanted a decent sized screen and a disk drive. So far I've burned disks and watched plenty. I recently was gifted a tablet so I rarely watch anything anymore on it but It's worked fine. My only issue is the trackpad. It lags and doesn't respond well but I added the rf mouse/keyboard and w/ that addition I would recommend this product.

The computer runs slow. It is easy to navigate. Does not have Word. The sales person talked me into this purchase. The HP I was looking at would have probably been a better fit for my needs.

I bought the Lenovo G50 - 80E30181US for reviewing photos in the field. The G50s I found have an issue with smooth textures like painted walls looking like gradients-not a smooth even look to the color from light to dark. Online search shows it is a common problem with the G50 series. As a regular laptop it is great but as a tool to review images look elsewhere.

I purchased this laptop for my teenage son, and he's been putting it through its paces for a while now. Mr. Multitasker has had nary a complaint over this machines ability to keep up without locking up. Everything from internet research to Mine Craft, there is plenty of quality in this purchase. Great value.

Very good product for regular day to day use and internet surfing. Product quality and design is also good.
