Dead 2 months after 1 year warranty expired
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an extremely slow, buggy computer with a bunch of bundled garbage pre-installed and an awkward OS. The warranty expired in November - the laptop was completely dead the first week of January.

not very happy with the laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchases this as an open box item and could not get it to stay connected to the internet. After purchasing 2 different and more powerful WiFi routers we still had no luck keeping it connected. We finally returned it for a ASUS laptop (new) and had no problems.

Good laptop but cheap build quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like i said it title it has cheap build quality. I bought it for my high school going brother and the hinge broke within a year. Having said that the laptop itself is a good for the price but you have to use it carefully.

Bargain Basement - Bargain price; Basement quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last laptop was a MacBook. That should tell you, right there, where this review is headed. After many years of service I needed a replacement. I am retired now, and really couldn't afford another Apple product, so I searched for a PC laptop. I expected to lose quality and ease of use, as I have used many pcs in my workplace and before my MacBook. This laptop had fairly good reviews and had features I wanted - mainly a CD/DVD access, hdmi access, and ability to interface with my electronic sewing machine, for embroidery. *I will note that some of my transitional problems are with Windows 10, and its new browser, Edge; but, that is a review for another time. Hint: Microsoft should have stuck with Explorer!) From the get- go, as much as I have tried, I do not like this laptop. It is heavy. Startup loading programs takes FOREVER. I am a light user now; but,I still keep it tuned up, and scanned for viruses and malware. Even my tuneup program comments how very slow this is. The touchpad is maddening! I have adjusted sensitivity back and forth but the darn thing goes rogue and frequently kicks me out of the page I'm working. (It does not help that scrolling is opposite of the instinctual direction. ) If purchasing this laptop, I HIGHLY recommend use of a wireless mouse because of the touchpad. Keys are "mushy", despite trying multiple sensitivity levels. Frequently a key that was pressed will not "register" and I have to go back to retype. The visual acuity of the screen is clear enough, but varies with the slightest change in angle. I constantly have to readjust that angle. I have followed directions for recalibration. The problem persists. Color quality is poor. Contrast is poor. Again, with slightest screen angle changes, the color changes. Annoying! So, what do I like? At the time, it was what I could afford. However, having used other, older Lenovo laptops - this one is inferior to those, and not even close to the quality of my 2009 MacBook! Lesson learned!

looked nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my daughter in middle school.. It turned out to be to slow . With only 4gigs of ram it made it difficult to multi task. As far as using it for basic things like emails, fb ... it did the job
