Excellent Student Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter wanted a computer for college and I found this one on sale on the BestBuy website. It had a more powerful processor than most laptops and a larger hard drive. I wasn't familiar with the name but after checking around found them reliable. I figured for less than $300 we could give it a try. She hasn't put it down since it arrived! I ordered an open box excellent condition model and am extremely pleased.

Not as good as I was expecting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know expecting so much from a $299 laptop on black Friday is my first downfall but I was stuck between the ASUS laptop for $340 and this one.. They were all out of the ASUS ones but the sales associate referred me to this one based on what I was looking for and for the price. Thinking it had a decent processor and great memory I thought it would run like a charm but to my disbelief, it didn't. The only reason I use a laptop is to play WoW, which is a large game, yes. But when there is NOTHING on the computer and I download just that game, I was very disappointed by the run speed. My friend has a Samsung laptop almost 4 years old with virus' and his seemed to still be the same speed as mine as far as loading and graphics, which we both had on the very lowest of the 5 settings. And the battery is AWFUL. Maybe I just have a defective computer? But when I first opened the computer I charged it until it was at 100%, not a minute longer because I know how quick my other laptop battery died and I didn't want the same instance. Not even an hour later it was at 10%.. So I charged it to 100% again and it was giving me the same problem. The webcam was awful as well. I know not to expect a 12 mpx camera on a laptop but I was just a blur, you couldn't even make out my eyes. I'm really starting to believe something was wrong with this computer before I bought it. Im glad to see everyone else enjoys it but I will be returning mine tonight in trade of the ASUS and hopefully I have better luck.

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good laptop for the price and does as expected. The only issue I have is with the touch pad left click button. It seems that it's starting to ware after a month of use.

Great deal for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was expecting much less from an i3 computer - this laptop is more than fast enough for mobile working online or with MS Office software. Beyond that, though, it surprised me by running my favorite MMORPG, Lord of the Rings Online. It's not perfect and certainly would be sub-par for raids, but it's good enough to serve for casual gaming. The terabyte hard drive is more than enough space to store everything I need, and the screen, while not exactly crisp, is good enough for most everyday tasks. My only real complaint is that the wireless connection is not as stable as I'd like. If you need a computer in the value category or for a novice user, this one's excellent.

Good Value for Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure about making this purchase but was reminded that this company bought out IBM personal computers division, so I researched the price and features and found it a better value than buying a Chrome book and it has more features than my old Gateway laptop. This laptop runs very quiet, it does not heat up and burn my lap when I sit down to use it. Speed is based on my WI-FI and I consider it very good. This is not a high end laptop, but it has everything I need including a DVD drive. It is mostly plastic, but firm and light, good simple processor that will last for years. Screen resolution is also very good. Only issue I've had is cursor pad is very touchy, I'll probably use a mouse in most cases. I know I got a good deal buying this laptop, hopefully no major issues arise, so go so far! Have owned for 5 days.

So far, so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop to replace the same model Lenovo from about 4 or 5 years ago. I only need a pretty basic laptop for web browsing and photo editing. This computer like its predecessor gets the job done. I've had a few headaches with Windows 10 that have taken restarting the computer to resolve. That's not so much of a computer as a software issue in my estimation. Overall I'm happy with the performance so far for a budget laptop with a good keyboard, a disc drive and a large hard drive.

Nice Entry Level / Bargain Laptop.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was going to by a Asus but got this Lenovo instead because you couldn't updrade ram on the Asus. So far its been great. Even with the stock hard disk the boot time was fast. Upgraded ram to 16gb DDR3L and threw a Samsung 850 Evo 500gb sata drive and now the boot time is less then 10 seconds to the desktop. Not a bad rig for an entry level laptop.

Simple laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was bought to complete online courses and other simple online tasks. Does the job well for basic performances. The ten key is a great feature to have. Was disappointed that I had to install and update Windows instead of it already being done.

Good buy for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good basic laptop for most people. I bought it for a friend who uses it mainly for email, social media, and web surfing. It has a very fast wireless connection, and a big hard drive for storing lots of music and pictures. The only bad point is that the mouse pad is somewhat quirky and annoying. This is easily solved by using a wireless mouse.

Good laptop for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a bad laptop for the money. The trackpad works well, especially when the advanced gestures are disabled. The screen looks fine; although it has a limited viewing angle. The laptop had all the typical bloatware, so I wiped the disk and installed Windows 10 from scratch. Works better now!

Under-Performs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After several days of reviewing this product and as a previous Lenovo owner, I was optimistic that this computer would perform well. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The Intel i3 processor seems to be lacking in performance; there is a lot of "lagging" going on. With the 4GB memory, there is a continuous 3GB running even with no applications open so there is something that is sucking up memory. I keep getting a "driver" error. Also, the battery life is quite terrible. Will be returning and searching for a different computer.

budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrendous battery life- 90min on a full charge. Battery was not a key factor in purchasing but still, 90min is really poor. I wasn't expecting much, not much is exactly what I got.

piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this for myself for school during christmas. every single time i type, the mouse cursor moves and jumps around like. Even as I'm typing this review, it's doing the same thing. I have to keep stopping and move the cursor where I left off. I hadn't noticed this until I actually started using the thing. And of course, the return policy is over and I don't have the original packaging. Lenovo tells me that I have to pay for shipping to send it them to see what the problem is. This is a waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. I even changed the settings on the mouse and that didn't help. I'm so UPSET. To top it off, it's sloooow starting up. My HP desktop AIO starts up way faster and so does my daughter's CHROMEBOOK by Acer. And the battery life--- HORRIBLE!! WORST PURCHASE FROM BEST BUY.... EVERRRRR!!!!!

Painfully slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the price may prompt you to try this PC, don't fall for it. It's so painfully slow it takes 20 seconds to open a file, and longer if other programs are running. contacted lenovo who offered superficial advice but no real help. Wrote similar review on lenovo's website, but guess what? They rejected it. Stay clear and you'll avoid a massive headache.

Never Again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop quit working after the 21 and 30 day in store service or return they keep talking about, of course, now they want me to send it in that will take 3 to 4 weeks. I am a college student, I cant afford to have my laptop out for that time! Customer Service at Best Buy is the worst I have ever had to experience. I will never purchase anothor thing from a Best Buy dealer! Most frustrating thing I have ever purchase online and then to pick up, I was sent a satisfactory servey online and clearly described the nightmare it was for my family who purchased the computer online and then to pick it up was unbelievable; never heard a response back!! A "we are sorry" would have been some satisfaction. Hating Best Buy!!!!

The perfect non-gamer computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need a computer to work with or you just want to enjoy watching a 4K video, then buy this computer. Fast, dynamic and useful. It has HDMI, a 3.0 USB port and the battery lasts for 4 hours.

First Laptop.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Believe it or not, this is my first laptop I've ever owned. It has made my life a little more convenient and fun, since I've had it. After a few more years, I think I'll upgrade to one which has a little more in the way of processing speed, and other bells and whistles.
