Very disappointed with the Chrombook. I thought Google would have put out a quality product out to the consumers but clearly they have not. This was probably one of the WORST computer products i would ever by in all my years of buying computers My chromebook died in exactly 1 year.

For $179 on sale it's a good value

You can web surf and check email on this Lenovo Chromebook, albeit a little more slowly than on a midline Win 10 laptop with 8GB RAM, but this is less of an investment at its Black Friday $179 sale price. You also have the added option of playing certain Android Play Store games on this Chromebook, as it's compatible right out of the box. Fair warning, though: Some games run, some run in a tiny window, and some don't run at all on the current Chrome OS as of November 2018. The laptop quality overall feels solid and well crafted. Don't change Chrome's text size from its native medium setting, however, or web page designs and game window sections start to overlap themselves, rendering certain buttons unreachable and certain texts unreadable, not to mention lining up touches on the touch screen gets quite wonky, too. The hard glass touch screen responds well at this Chromebook's native resolution and with its native medium font, however. The keyboard isn't backlit, but it is more solid and the keys are a little higher and easier to use than the ones on my midline Dell laptop (regular sell price $599; I got it at the early Black Friday sale for $399). Battery life seems good: I'm on my 3rd day of intermittent use on its first charge, with 34% left, even multitasking and playing and an Android game for a couple hours besides. I am still trying to get this Chromebook to recognize my MP3s I've put on a 128GB SD card formatted in exFAT, but the Google music app seems to want money for you to even begin to use it, and VLC isn't picking up the SD card yet. I'm a Windows user who's still new to that so I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. Nice machine for the money, although I still prefer my PC gaming tower and Dell laptop. :P

This was purchased for my 14 year old daughter for school work. Every time she would use it it would get hung up. She would have to reboot it and it would do the same thing. Finally returned it and purchased and Acer Chromebook and she loves it.

I purchased this computer at the end of April, now it won't even turn on. It's too expensive of a computer to last less than a month. Returning for a refund today. Mac seems to be the only way to go.

    Good Small Chromebook with Touchscreen

    Posted .

I've had a couple of chromebooks over the past few years. This is the first touchscreen I've used and overall it works pretty well. My daughter has been using one of my older ones to play Roblox and she complains that it won't load very well and is slow. I tried it on this model and it works much better. It's not perfectly smooth but that isn't surprising. You can turn the screen around and have multiple orientations and it works. If you're reading, you can turn the screen vertical and it flips. Good for $179 but I wouldn't pay $279.

A good entry level Chromebook for the sale price. I wouldn't have bought it at retail price it's just lacking features that come with that price tag. Lets start with the bad. Storage is ok at 32gb, but put out the extra cash and get the 64gb version if you plan on running linux. Display is good but the screen bounces when using touch in laptop mode. Random memory hangups? Google play music is broken with most Chromebooks running ARM processors including this one which makes it impossible to upload songs to google play. I searched and this issue seems to hit the majority of lenovo chromebooks so i'm not sure who is at fault. But I would like to use a pre loaded google service while on a google chromebook, this issue is appalling and needs to be fixed. The input slots suck. Don't plan on using the SD card slot as leave in expandable storage. The sd card hangs out 3/4 of the way so plan on getting a micro flash drive to take up your only USB-A slot??? They could have at least added another USB-C slot so you can charge and use devices at the same time. Huge fail here Lenovo... The good. Touchscreen works well rarely do I have to retouch to perform an action. Outside of the the random hangup the 4gb of ram is plenty for normal use, play store, linux apps and good for light gaming. Ran gta3 on here with no issues. Bluetooth works great with no disconnects. Wifi connectivity is amazing no drops or lag on the ac 5g connection. Keyboard feels better then most chromebooks at this price point not floppy like acer or samsung. Same with the touchpad feels nice and works without issue. All in all i'm happy with it for the sale price way better then my year old Acer which was 50 dollars more. If your on the fence about a chromebook I would wait. Main reason is google is making sweeping changes to the OS which will render previous chromebooks in the dust as new ones are released but if your like me and upgrade once a year this will be a fine device to fill that roll.
