Good little Chromebook for my 3rd grader

The touchscreen feature is nice. If you don't have a Google account, then you need to get one before you can login. Google also has a family setting so you can create accounts for your kids and add them to your family to monitor their usage and set limits. It is definitely worth the Black Friday sale price.

Not the purchase or activation date, the manufacturing date. Other than that nuisance, for $200 to $300 your Chromebook will give you years of reliable, fast performance and never get a virus while its battery lasts practically all day.

It's extremely affordable, super fast, has Android app support, and Linux features can be activated in the settings, making it practically a full fledged computer. Set up takes maybe 5 minutes. With Google Drive storage you have all the space you need to store files. I have many computers with various operating systems and this has to be my favorite.

The Windows laptops she's used over the years have all (as Windows does) gotten slower and caused much frustration - like forgetting which printer to print to. So far, this Chromebook has been perfect for her - and she loves the touchscreen! For the money, this is an excellent buy.
