With regard to a CD/DVD drive, the reason there is not one built in, is that there are very few programs that are on CD/DVD that are compatible with the Chrome Operating system. Now, 13 yrs old and having responsibly maintained the previous Chromebook ‘til it ‘bit the dust’, he needed a new ‘n better Chromebook, thus we purchased this one. All are happy with the purchase, indeed. So far, it’s performing well and as specified.

Great bang-for-your-buck Chromebook

My wife was the primary user. She has really enjoyed this new one! It is a little unwieldy as a tablet but screen is beautiful all radios are consistent and reliable. Only paid $200 bucks for it and it has more than covered the machine it replaced.

I have a surface pro 4 and thought I would have difficulty switching from windows 10 to google OS but is has been great!

This chromebook was easy for her to use and was a great price! It was her favorite birthday gift. However, she didn’t realize then how much she would need it for more than games and social media!

His 1st machine, so I didn't want to shell out too much and this was priced right. Perfect for his school needs. The option of folding into a tablet excited him. There's only 1 usb port, so we keep it for a flash drive and use a bluetooth mouse instead of the touchpad. 2 usb ports would've been perfect....and also would've earned a 5 star. Other than that, very happy with this purchase.

Very clean, sleek and lightweight. Never had an issues with it. Screen resolution is really good for a chromebook and it is quick. I highly rec this if you are in the market for one. You will not be disappointed.

And yes, it was still going strong, 5 years in. The new Lenovo is even better than my last. The touchscreen works great. All the android apps work just like a phone or tablet plus it is a great laptop. Screen is an improvement as well.
