The prior model of this one, chromebook flex 11, had good reviews on consumer reports. So I bought this one because it was offered at a 30 percent discount. I use it mostly for the internet and it is excellent. I do not use it as a tablet and so cannot comment on how good it us as a tablet. The image quality is just okay, but it is adequate for me
