Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb screen quality, lightweight design, and impressive battery life of this 2-in-1 laptop. The fast SSD is also frequently praised, along with the laptop's ease of use. However, some users have noted concerns regarding the keyboard layout and fan noise. These issues, while mentioned, don't appear to overshadow the positive experiences reported by many customers.

I did not intend to buy new laptop even though my old thinkpad x200 is seven years old. but this yoga 910 is really cheap for the awesome hardware even if not in a discount, not to mention that I bought it during the discount period right before Christmas! after almost three months, I really love it! the 4K screen is fantastic. it is a difference that you can immediately see (and touch)! I was concerned that the battery life would be shortened by the power consumption of the screen, but this is not a problem so far. I have more than 4 hours of normal usage with fully charged battery. the touchscreen is easy to use and sometimes faster than mouse though I am still accustomed to keyboard and mouse/touchpad inputs. however, if you want to take notes or draw on the screen with this machine, the experience will be awful. the reason is simply because of the passive digitizer and no palm-rejections. if one really wants to draw on a tablet, get a model with active digitizer and active pen that supports palm-rejections, such as surface pro or higher-end thinkpad models. the laptop is also fast and hassle free. I need to ocassionaly run heavy computations (literally computations) with MATLAB for academic purpose (not those stupid homework or course projects that one encounters in their freshman or sophomore years), and this machine really gets the job done. haven't really utilize the power of gpu for a huge project but am looking forward to it. I believe that if you go further for a even more powerful quad-core i7 and geforece 1000+, there will be a significant drop in battery life and at least 90% of the users will never ever need the extra power even once. needs to assemble multiple avchd files together into one big file of size 10gb or so around once a week for seminar recording. the machine does it lightning fast. yes, the keyboard right shift is an annoying problem. but there is a fix by modifying the registry. (however, engineers in Lenovo, please really test your products! And don't count on any fix that consumers figure out themselves.) I would prefer a small numkeypad on the lower right if possible, but it is not a big deal. Fan noise. yes, there will be, but not so annoying. you simply cannot get everything at this (and every) price: there is always something to comprise. I opt for the computational resources the system provides. Storage: 256gb is enough for me given my habits. my old thinkpad is also 256gb, but with hdd instead of ssd. so this is a big boost for me. I do appreciate and would definitely buy a model with a larger and faster pcie ssd storage if there was one (say 512gb pcie to strike a balance for budgets) so that my photos can stay longer on the laptop before transferred to a portable hard drive. hinges: I am concerned about the hinges given some past reviews of yoga I read almost a year ago though I owned none then. now that I have one myself, I still don't think it a good idea to transform the laptop too often, since it really don't feel sturdy enough (the screen is also huge). I definitely don't want to force to buy a new machine only because the hinge does not work or the wires in the hinge malfunction. so I would avoid use other modes and suggest use them at your own risks. if one really loves the idea of transformation and needs it badly, I would suggest the detachable design such as surface book and surface pro. anyway, a 15''+ model is not built for portability.

Have only had mine for 5 weeks, and Best Buy refused to even help. They say it has a one year warranty. Best Buy said they would mail it back to manufacturers and should have it back in 2 months. So I just spent 1000.00 and now have to buy another one. But it won't be from Best Buy and it won't be a Lenovo

If you are experiencing slow speed, there is something wrong. Check to be sure that there are no unwanted programs running in the background dominating your system resources. Additionally, be sure that any programs you have installed are compatible with Windows 10. Finally, you can utilize the diagnostics on the Lenovo.com-support web page. Here is the link:

20 days after purchase the display stopped working. Best Buy wouldn't refund since it was just past 15 day refund period so sent out for repair. After waiting 10 days for repair, the laptop only lasted less than a week before the display went out again. Unbelievable!

Since the system did work for 20 days, it sounds like an automatic Windows update that is conflicting with an old video driver. There may be video driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

I had been looking at laptops for months when I came across this steal. I would expect any laptop with an I7 processor, 256SSD drive, 4k UHD touch screen, and 16GB of RAM to be at least $1,600. Picked this up from best buy for $1,100 and couldn't be happier. The fan is definitely on the noisy side but it keeps the PC running extremely cool. Bottom of the computer was barely warm to the touch after installing a large program. For the price it is near impossible to find anything better.

This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the earphone port on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

    Great Computer

Have a Lenevo that I purchased from Best Buy two years ago, has been great so this year for a Christmas gift originally purchased a Lenevo Think Pad with i5 and then seen that this 710 with a i7 and 4K was on sale. I was cautious due to complaints of fan noise. I exchanged the Think pad for the 710 and it is a great computer. Fan came on once and if that is what someone considers loud then I must be deaf. Great/ fast computer and the 4K screen is crisp and vivid. Was a great deal and will not hesitate to purchase Lenevo products in the future. Beside the fact is Best Buy is a great place to purchase products, they stand behind what they sell. Never had a problem with a return or exchange of anything.

I was almost considering returning it, but I already got so attached to the model. The aluminum finish, excellent display, and fingerprint reader gives it a really premium feel. For a low-cost touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop with a decent graphics card, you get a pretty good deal. The battery life is solid and the charger itself is not bulky. The thinness of it makes it easy to transport, making it a laptop perfect for people with a variety of needs. I wish more jack of all trades products like these were made. Here are some cons that may be a concern for others: The keyboard is hard to get used to for reasons most reviews of this laptop is mentioning The fan going off even during light web browsing Not too many ports A tad on the heavy side for a laptop this thin The cover is a bit of a fingerprint magnet (though not super visible and comes off easily) The speakers were placed on the bottom, making it sound a little quiet on notebook mode. But that placement was definitely there to benefit tablet mode so I'm not mad. All of the stuff mentioned above actually weren't dealbreakers for me because I only really noticed them when I was actively looking for things wrong. Ultimately, it gets the job done so I'm pleased. The one major flaw I had with my laptop was the trackpad. My left click seemed to not always be responding correctly, especially the farther left I went. Sometimes It would suddenly act like a right click button or I'd be accidentally doing things like resizing the screen when I was just trying to move the cursor. Hopefully this wasn't an issue for others.

I have purchased this laptop on 24th Dec with $899.99 + tax. I have found it is useful for day-to-day basis working. Below $1000, it is a good deal. Good things are: Fast for multi-tasking, Crisp and vivid screens because of Ultra 4K graphics. Sound quality is good. Touch pad is okay. Easy to work in different mode (normal laptop or as tablet). Things need to be improved: Battery life is poor, Shift key is wrongly placed. Large Adapter with plug where as shorter cord. Some cases fan sound is heard.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 710-15. With regard to extending your battery life on this device, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo

I bought this laptop at the $1200 introductory price but I still believe it's worth 100% if it's current $1300 price. The specs this machine should constitute a $2000 price. Lenovo hit this one out of the park! The keyboard is one of the best I've ever used, great travel and very clicky. This device is very thin and will be used as my business machine and I travel all the time. The 4K screen is just drop dead gorgeous and super responsive...seriously if you have the spare time drop by a store and look at one for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Good luck spotting a pixel! It is an "edge-less" display and it really does shrink down the footprint of the laptop and did I mention that it's GORGEOUS. I find the touchpad to be very responsive but it did take a little getting used to. Finally the fit and finish a just top notch, everything you touch is brushed metal and it doesn't get hot even after long hours. Overall, it's a 5 star laptop at a 5 star price!
