This computer exceeds all the requirements I needed for my office and the price was great.

We bought this for a grandfather who mostly uses the Internet and play solitaire. Laptop has a great screen.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Lenovo 300-17 when my old laptop couldn't download windows 10. It has 17' screen - Intel Core I3 - 4gb Memory - 500gb Hard Drive - It's thinner and lighter than my old one and It has been easy to copy all my files and other information onto it. It was easy to order by phone at BEST BUY

Screen and overall build quality is good for the price. My biggest complaint is how sharp the leading edge of the palmrest is, so it can be kind of uncomfortable. Also, the mouse buttons are small and require lots of effort to click, which is annoying. The keyboard isn't quite as good as the one in my other current Lenovo laptop, but that one cost twice as much, so I can't complain - though backlighting would have been appreciated. But overall The Lenovo Ideapad 300-17ISK feels more expensive than it is. Though the omission of a drive activity indicator is silly cost-cutting. The 6th-gen Intel Core i3 processor will be adequate for most users. I use mine for browsing the internet, web development, and streaming videos and music. Battery life isn't wonderful - maybe 3 hours? It has ethernet, VGA, and a DVDRW drive - so for people that aren't ready to give that stuff up, this laptop is a reasonable choice, though I'd personally prefer more than one USB 3.0 port (the other two are USB 2.0) instead of the VGA port. The included 500GB 5400RPM mechanical hard drive should be adequate for casual users, but upgrading to an SSD is going to give you amazing performance. I put in a 120GB SSD, and now boot times are great and applications open instantly. I'd also recommend upgrading the RAM (the Lenovo has two RAM slots - by default it's a single 4GB stick) - you can pick up a second 4GB DDR3L-12800 SO-DIMM for super cheap. Also, while it ships with Win10, it handles Win7 fine, and Lenovo has all the drivers available on their site for 7, if you don't like 10 - you just have to spend the money on a 7 retail license if you don't already have one like I did. Overall, great budget laptop. Would recommend! Just don't try to play games on the Intel HD 520 graphics, because it's not meant for that!

I got this for my wife. Tossed another 4gb ram module in the bottom and a Samsung SSD and it screams now. The bottom slides off easy with two screws and you have access to an open ram slot (2 total) and the hard drive. The only downside is the keyboard layout is a little off but not a deal breaker for the price.

Definitely happy with purchase. Still trying to discover all the applications and abilities. Will have to wait to give it 5 stars after I spend more time becoming familiar.

Price matches the quality of the unit. After a week of using it, I notice it's getting slow. When brought back to the store to check why? The geek said it's a virus ( by just looking at the screen. They want a $100 to remove the virus or $200 for extended warranty for a year for a $329 computer? And they will not accept it for return because it's considered broken? I will not buy any computer again at Best Buy.

I just wanted a computer to do basic work. This fit in perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was the Internet Explorer. Switched to Google Chrome and no more problems.
