Upgrade from starter laptop; faster net experience

Huge difference; much faster surfing the web; faster downloads; bigger display; great speakers (don't really need external speakers). Fast processor, good memory and plenty of storage space. Nice mid-level laptop. Great features without breaking the bank. Thumbs Up!

I enjoy the speed and it does what I need it to do for my business. Its a bit heavy and large so I don't take it very many places. Also I agree with other reviews that said the keyboard could be designed better. Other than that an okay product.

You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

The screen is a great laptop size and does what I need it to do. I use it for email, web surfing, and data base entry. No gaming or any heavy use with this computer.

This Lenovo had everything I was looking for: 17" screen, 1TB HD, CD/DVD drive, Bluetooth, etc. I've had it for a couple months now and I'm very happy with it. This is my first Lenovo and it seems to offer a lot of value for the money.

I really like it, but it has some issues. The period key and comma key are offset from normal keyboards and this is an issue. I have gotten somewhat used to it now, but still have to concentrate on where they are on this keyboard, as I did twice in the last sentence. Also, from time to time it's as if someone has taken over my laptop. The cursor doesn't move smoothly and the page I'm on will shrink or disappear on its own. Very weird. So while it's a good laptop, I'm not in love. I got exactly what I paid for I guess.

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the period key and comma key with the keys you hit in their place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
With regard to the cursor issues, there may be driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. Here is the link:

I swapped out the HD with a SSD running Linux. Works like a charm. Battery life is good. Keyboard is comfortable. Like the 3 USB ports. I do wish the speakers were a little louder.
