I like the laptops performance and features however, the screen is so tight when lifting it from the keyboard/CPU that the screen has cracked in about three places from the pressure that is placed on it during opening.

I purchased this laptop due to the fact that my old lap top was just that, old. We had our old Gateway for about 7 years and had very little issues until recently, probably due to age. After reading reviews and shopping for a while I chose this particular laptop. Generally, it is a good machine but it is slow. It can take 10 - 15 minutes to get going, and that is just after being asleep, not a reboot or start up. It is constantly freezing up so I shut it down and reboot and still no luck. It's really not worth the time so I think I'm returning it. I'm going to give it a few more weeks but I'm not holding out much hope.

I bought this because of the large 17 inch screen coupled with the former IBM...now Lenovo...legend. What a disappointment when I began using it. The keyboard would flex completely on the left side when a key was depressed that was on the left half of the keyboard. Beneath the "mouse pad" was a seam that was burred and very annoying...a genuine design flaw. I returned it and bought a HP 15.6 inch which is of much higher workmanship.

I cannot say this enough as a Best Buy regular customer, the laptops that receive bad reviews here are from people who DO NOT realize these laptops were not manufactured by Best Buy, therefore you need to spend about 4-5 hours of updating Windows 10 and other drivers before you start using it for your personal use. This Laptop, WOW, without a dedicated graphics card, and I work in IT at a state agency, I just cannot say enough how great this Laptop is, how well it performs, how fast it is on the internet. There isn't one negative thing I can think of other than the washed out color on the display. Unfortunately, I have always bought plus 1000 dollars on laptops previously. Was low on cash this year, found this online, looked at it in store, and was so surprised with the specs for that price. There is a trade off with no back lit keyboard (especially at night), and no dedicated discreet graphics card (GPU), but the Intel 520 is one of the better chipsets, and works best with the most RAM. You can easily upgrade this laptop as well, up to 16 GB of RAM DDR3, and slap in a 256 SSD, this rocks! I cannot believe I stumbled upon this, got it on a sale day, and I cannot thank both Best Buy and Lenovo enough for making the little guys like me happy too with an affordable laptop with great performance. I think if you start adjusting the display, you can get some good quality saturated colors, but it isn't a Nvidia 1080, which alone costs way over what this Laptop's total cost. I am completely amazed, and totally recommend this to anyone. - but not heavy gamers. To those who gave this a one star, you are completely blinded by the fact you HAVE to do updates! This is a gem for the price!

Computer was too slow. It had too many programs running in the background.

At first really like it but then problems began. The first laptop I have ever seen with a bad GPU on it. It glitches or does not properly want to render browsers correctly. This is a hardware issue so having to return it to Lenovo for repair. Royally sucks. New laptop already under repair. Not good.

I bought this laptop for my daughter to use in college. Out of the box we had problems with restarts frequently with no warning, and no time to save work. GeekSquad was unable to figure out what was wrong, and said it's the OS which isn't covered. Basically we bought an $800 paperweight.

I wish I would have went with an hp. It's okay but not what I wanted

The HP I originally bought had a bad SD slot, deal breaker for me! Saw the price for an i5 with 8GB of RAM, and couldn't make the exchange Quick enough! Easy setup, everything is quick and responsive. Only 4 Stars because a a reviewer mentioned here, there is a sharp edge along the bottom near the mouse pad, and I can see how that would annoy some people

. This computer was a big disappointment. It completely died June 2018 and it was purchased in October 2016. Need I say more.

Bought for my Mom and worked great for a few days and then crashed. Took it back and got our money back.

Only had the computer for 2 months, barely used it and drivers already went bad.

Glitchy, hard to use, all around pretty bad computer

Was looking for anther desktop to replace the current one i had from 10 years ago. Decide that i would get a laptop for portability. So far this is one of the easiest i have found to setup to my home network. Love the big 17 in screen a long with the nice side keyboard area.

I had a Dell Inspiron and it was a piece of junk. It only lasted 5 years and I had to put in a new hard drive. This time it was going to need another hard drive and my computer guy said not worth fixing it when u can buy a new one. He said Dell Inspiron is hard to get inside to fix and he said stay away from HP. So I said I looked online and Lenovo had a good review and he said those were good. I told him the price for the 8GB of memory and 1TB hard drive and he said that was a great price. I read the reviews and specs and I decided to buy it since i was in a rush for a new computer since the Dell died on me(again after only 5 years). I've had this Lenovo for 5 hours and so far so good. Everything seems to work fine. The speakers work good. Its alot bigger than my Dell (screen and keyboard) so just have to get use to it. I'm still adjusting to everything, but happy with my purchase for now and i hope it lasts more than 5 years!!

Bought this laptop on sale, and then a week later, I see it for another $30 off the sale price. Called Best Buy and they gave me the lower sale price. Love that price matching policy! Purchased this laptop for sister who wants to learn Linux Mint. Put the Windows 10 OS on flashdrive, and then installed Linux Mint for her. Everything works great now including printer. It did take some tweaking to get the sound to work on Google vid chat, but it works fine now. This machine is super fast using the new operating system.
