DECENT LAPTOP

Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

Workable but Clumsy

It's Pentium processor was just getting too slow for even email and Powerpoints. So, I bought a bigger screened version with a Core 7 processor thinking that would be great. The keypad is clumsy with an oddly placed "up" key by the right cap key. Causes a lot of issues. Hoping muscle memory adapts. The size is clumsy too. But, that's just because its so dang big. Likely give this to my kids as a house computer and go back to a smaller version with a faster processor.

I had trouble finding what I wanted so I went into the Victor, NY location. The Sales Associate was very prompt to help me. He was knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. He even offered me an extended warranty which I did purchase.

I do a lot of writing and it is good for it and storing my information. I took some getting used to, because the keys, especially the right shift key, is smaller and arranged different than the one on my old computer.

extremely happy with this laptop

It's fast, boots up in 30 seconds or less and lasts at least 4 hours if not more on battery. It charges fast and is much lighter than my previous 17" laptop. I would recommend this laptop to anyone. If you want to watch a commercial DVD movie, you will need Media Player software that is not included with Windows 10 Home. You can search for Media Player software in the Windows Store to see what choices are available, including one from Microsoft.

However, I am unable to understand a keyboard arrangement, which makes using it very hard. The PgUp key is positioned where normally the Right Shift key is on virtually every keyboard I have typed on for my lifetime. There is a Right Shift key, but it is half normal size, and out of position for normal finger placement. Otherwise a good machine, but a good typist will be frustrated.
