Was slightly skeptical when it took forever to do the initial round of updates, but since then it hasn't had any problems. I was pleasantly surprised by this computer's performance while I set it up, installed antivirus and Office along with all Windows updates. Has all the ports you need, DVD/RW drive, nice screen/keyboard size and sound. I hope our relative enjoys it and works well for all they intend to use it for.

The processor base speed is 2.7GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.6GHz. This is a great configuration for mid-range performance. It can run most of today's software.

Note that it does not have a CD drive, but so far, the 1TB hard drive hums along, good battery life, clear screen. A good choice for e-mail and traveling; my wife also likes it for processing photographs.
