Does what I need

This computer does what I need now that I have purchased Microsoft Word for it. Since what this was my first computer purchase, I would have appreciated knowing that before I bought it. I'm using it for Zoom videos and the camera is a little bit fuzzy. The DVD playing quality is great. I use an ice blue microphone and I disabled the computer microphone in order to get that to work so if I am not carrying my microphone with me I have no sound in Zoom or any other web platform that I am trying to speak on.

My family and I were in search of a new laptop for work, school and everyday needs , we stumbled upon this laptop and was immediately impressed with the value for the price , feeling the excitement of the new pc we rushed home opened it and started it up . We were immediately impressed with the speed size and ease of set up 8 gb of ram with a intel i3 accompanied by 1tb of storage at the given price! It was a absolute no brainer and I would definitely buy again . We are completely satisfied with our purchase!!

Normally I use Macs but I needed an expensive Windows machine with a gigabit ethernet connection and this Lenovo laptop met that criteria. Unfortunately, the sales person didn't know much about this computer and told me it had 4 RAM memory slots and thus could be upgraded. WRONG! It has 4 Gig's of RAM onboard that cannot be replaced and 1 RAM slot with a 2 Gig module which can be replaced. It comes with a bunch of junk software, mostly trials. So if you don't want those programs, you will need to spend time uninstalling them.
Also, I just learned from Lenovo support that once you charge up the battery you need to unplug the charger from both the wall and the computer. Seems Windows has some type of "safety" feature that blocks the charger from continuing to charge after 90%. If you want to get to 100% charge you need to let the battery drain entirely and then re-charge it. That is inconvenient. NOTE: the charger gets noticeably warm if you leave it plugged into the wall, so you need to unplug it from there if your laptop is charged.
I have noticed that the machine is getting slower and slower to boot up and perform tasks. I attribute that to Windows since initially the computer was reasonably fast. It has the latest 8th generation i3 CPU and DDR4 RAM.
If you want a really great screen, then this is not the laptop for you. On the other hand if you just need a laptop, and not watching a bunch of HD stuff, then the screen is okay for every day computing.
I may not be the best person to review a Windows machine, given my affinity for Macs, so consider the source when reading this review. I find generally Macs are better built, but also they are more expensive than this Lenovo. You get what you pay for. However, this Lenovo is pretty much serving the purpose for which I bought it, though eventually I will need to upgrade the one upgradeable RAM module. I look forward to the day when I don't have to use Windows at all and can stick to the Mac environment.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15 laptop. There is only one trial software program installed on this device, there is a 30-day trial of McAfee Software installed. Windows 10 comes with a 30-day trail of Microsoft Office 365. This configuration ships with 8GB of RAM. To maximize battery life, if you plug the charger into the device when the battery is at 90%, the battery will only trickle charge to maintain the charge at 90%. To charge to 100%, let the battery charge go down to at least 30%, then charge the device. If the charger is plugged into the wall but not plugged in to the computer, there charger should not feel warm, as there is no completed circuit. With regard to the device slowing down, be sure all software you have installed is compatible with Windows 10. Here is a link to some tips for speeding up your Windows 10 system: https://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2364937,00.asp

I bought this laptop on sale for a great price considering the specs, nothing else in the price range compared, especially at Best Buy. The computer runs great and has been able to do everything I asked it to, including some semi-pro video editing tasks. It doesn't have enough USB ports for my liking, and battery life seems a tad short. The design tries hard to mimic Apple's aesthetics, but in execution feels cheap. It would be nice to have a power indicator near the button as there is no way to know if the computer has turned on except to wait for the screen to come on. Also, the touchpad is at the same time too sensitive in some areas and also doesn't click confidently.

This laptop is perfect for students, high school or college level. It has enough memory and storage for any programs you may need to download or assignments you need to save, and a decent processor for the price so you don’t have to worry about it slowing down when you need it most. The battery life is prettt average but that doesn’t change my review, that was expected. It’s really affordable for what’s inside of it and it even still has a cd/dvd drive, which many don’t have anymore. I would definitely suggest this to parents who are weary of spending money or whether their kid needs a computer or not, this one is definitely worth it

faster than i5 7200u at this much lower price, but cooler than most i5 cpu, lowest-cost offering for the latest mainstream, is an excellent solution for the day-to-day computing tasks – web browsing, work in MS Office and other productivity software, or media playback. powerful enough for Lighter games like LoL, CS:GO, Minecraft… Also some heavier games like GTA 5 on low settings. very happy with my purchase.

We were shopping around in a hurry as this laptop was to replace my parent's laptop lost in a fire. We held out for this one as it had more memory (8 instead of 4GB) and the 1TB HD compared to other laptops in the same price range. It is not going to be a gaming rig with these specs, but it is great for browsing the internet, running some programs, and using Microsoft office. It also has the full number pad, which seems to be a disappearing feature on today's laptops. I am actually considering this model as a replacement for my business laptop as it is working out so well.

My first computer purchase!

I've always "inherited" computers when my husband grew tired of them. This is the first time I purchased my own and paid for it. I love my Lenova desktop at work and the IT person suggested that I buy the Dell that Best Buy carries for a few dollars less than I paid. When I realized I could have a better laptop with double the storage and speed, I was happy to pay just a little more. It came with the software I needed and within an hour of ordering online, I picked up my purchase. I was using my computer in an hour and am very happy with the decision.

(The nickname should read: non-gamer, but the webpage is unable to accommodate a hyphen or a space.) I have very basic computing needs: word-processing, spreadsheets, Quicken, taxes, basic photo-editing and web-browsing. No need for high-end graphics nor fast read-write speeds from my hard drive. With 8GB RAM, a 1-TB HD, a decent keyboard and dazzling display - I have everything I need, all for about $330, as I recall. A steal.

This is a reliable basic computer. It holds a charge for several hours, is sturdy, and has more than enough memory. Our main complaint is the frequent updates and how it slows the computer. Although this may be more of a Windows complaint this computer is slower than our other computer which is am i7 with a faster processor. For the price, this computer cannot be beat.

Obviously not the best laptop out there. But for the price and what’s included it’s hard to beat. Works fast for what we use it for, battery life is very good, screen is bright and crisp. If you’re looking for something for gaming or something that requires more power look elsewhere. This is being used for web browsing, remote connecting to another network and Microsoft Office products.

I love Lenovo products in general. I've been using their products for the last few years. I have a desktop and just bought this laptop. Overall is is pretty good and was a great purchase. I would love if it were a little faster and if the battery lasted longer. It was a great purchase for the price though--- and I feel that it was the best choice I could have made for around $350.00.

I wanted a laptop for kids to use for school projects and for myself to use just for standard day to day browsing and to do small tasks.
This laptop does everything and I am also happy with the speed. The price is also reasonable. The only complain I have is the battery life. It barely has 2 hours of charge, you need to have the power adapter with you all the times.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15 laptop. This model has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, Be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/battery-saver-windows-10. If there are no unwanted programs running, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

Great Up-To-Date Laptop with a few catches
|
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Purchased this laptop in the open box rack and I figured out why this laptop got returned in the first place.
1. The laptop is extremely slow once it turns on and connects to internet for the first time. Give it some patience and upgrade to an SSD after Windows completes it initial setup. Lenovo included a migration application "Acronics True Image" which can be found in Lenovo App Explorer.
2. Wifi is not using Intel Solution and can only reach top speed of 433Mbps on Wireless AC even with 5 bars. It can be fixed by swapping it with an Intel solution or plugin an Ethernet cable.
Other than these two catches, this is a great laptop. If you want to save some upgrading time, you might want too spend more on the Core i5 model which came with an SSD but you still have to deal with somewhat disappointing Wifi Solution.
