Main weaknesses: screen isn't full HD and the hard disk is a bit slow. I'd go for a computer with a SSD if I could afford it, definitely worth the upgrade.

The 8GB easily handles thousands of photos. There are two things I would like changed; a longer power cord and another USB port.

I think it's a little slow when turning on and loading the programs (which I only have Microsoft 365 on this computer). There is a lot of pre loaded programs that I will take off. I only want it for PowerPoint.

The only adware on this device is a 30 day trial of Microsoft Office 365 as part of the Windows 10 operating system and a 30-day trial of McAfee Anti-Virus software. There are Lenovo Utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and update operating software.

This system has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:

If there are no un wanted programs running, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

I was not interested in all the "bells and whistles". All I wanted was a good , inexpensive computer for using email, Word and especially Excel. I realized it was necessary to purchase Office. Since I've had lots of luck with my Lenovo desktop computer, I pulled the trigger and purchased this one. First problem started when I turned it on. It took two - three minutes to even boot up. Initial Windows setup was easy, but I'd only been working on it 15-20 mins when it began to get red hot on the bottom (the charging cable got hot too). I also had lots of problems with the mouse pad, which seemed to have a mind of its own. It did not at all behave like the floor model in the store. In addition, random applications from the Microsoft Store began installing themselves on their own. I'd uninstall them, and they'd just re-install again. I finally gave up and returned it to the store two hours later for a refund. So much for my first laptop. Very, very disappointed.

With regard to the heat you experienced right after the initial setup of the device, the computer was at maximum effort during the initial activation and setup of Windows 10. This would cause the device to feel warmer than normal. If you had the device plugged in, it was most likely in a charging mode, which would make the AC adapter feel warm as well. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. If issues continue, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

The size suites me. Not to small or large. The outside is easy to keep clean. I came into the store and told the sales person what my needs were and I came home with this great laptop.

Within 10 minutes of staring it up, he was using it to surf the web and write emails. It looks like a solid laptop, with a comfortable keyboard and good screen. Not too big; not too small.

Posted .This system, the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15 laptop, has a battery life of up to 5 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Concerning your screen issues, if the issue is software based, an update of BIOS/Drivers may correct the issue. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up.
