I had used some Lenovo products at previous jobs and I always liked them. This is the first one I have owned personally, and I really do like it compared to the HP's I have had in the past (not that the HP's were bad).

Stuck in infinite Windows auto repair loop... ugh

All she needed was internet access for her movie schedules and email. First, we could not set up the computer without a text confirmation (she has no texting phone) or a non-academic system email address (she has an old academic system email). We had to get her a gmail account which she really didn't want at all. No option to get a phone call access code. Then, 2 weeks later, we are faced with a Windows 10 Stop Code: Bad System Config Info. No advanced options solves it after hours of trying. Returning for something else since we are within the return window. No happy. If it worked, it would be a great price for what we thought was a reputable brand.

Posted .Once again, thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaCentre 510A Desktop. You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

I can only give it 4 stars because when playing my exercise DVD, about 1 out of 10 times it pauses intermittently, then fast-forwards and skips over a part of the exercise program.

With regard to the skipping you are experiencing when you play your DVD, be sure the DVD format is compatible with the Media Player Software you are using. You can find out what file format the DVD is in from the package the DVD came in. Then check the files that your Media Payer software is compatible with. If you are using Windows Media Player softer, you can see the file formats that are compatible are: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/316992/file-types-supported-by-windows-media-player. If you are using a 3rd party media player softer, check the packaging the software came in for compatible files or check the software publisher's website for compatibility.

The store sales is very helpful as well. I am happy with my purchase!

The computer works great for what I do . Now I just need to get used to Microsoft Edge and I will be fine. I have no complaints about the computer- it’s just what I needed to catch up with the times. If anyone asks me about it I would recommend it for my age group— over 65.

Got this for basic stuff but the 8th gen processor does a little more than I thought so I've done some gaming on the unit as well. Nothing graphic heavy but still happily surprised how much multi tasking this unit can do for an i3.

The new generation of the Intel I3 performs better than the I5 and approaches that of the 1st & 2nd generation of the I7. Overall this was a great buy and comes w/my highest reccomendation.
