This model has a Quad-Core AMD Ryzen 3 3200GE processor with a speed of 3.3GHz. This processor is supported by 8GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM and a 256GB M.2 2280 NVMe TLC OPAL solid state drive. If you are experiencing slower than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. Posted .The Lenovo IdeaCentre A540-24 All-In-One system ships with a webcam built in with True Block Privacy. The webcam is stored in the closed position when it was shipped from the factory. The webcam is located at the top of the screen, in the middle. Have tried multiple ports, scanners, software fixes etc and no bueno. It was really bad during my busiest retail season of the year. I am planning to return it or exchange it or go back to my legacy dinosaur that worked like a champ

Posted .Be sure both the hardware and the software that runs your scanner, is compatible with Windows 10 and this system's configuration. We recommend you check with both the hardware manufacturer as well as the software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

The computer itself works fine but I will have to get an external cd player for it. If I had known I would have bought another type.

Every time the screen goes green and looks very bad for the eyes. I had this computer for less than 8 months. I am a sound engineer and video producer. Even running pro tools is not nicely supported by the computer. i hear the pop sound coming through the speaker and there is no problem with the speaker when i connect through my laptop. I am not happy with this purchase and frustrated because i have to maintain the patience every-time i try to do some recording work through it.

Disappointed

One of them had the microphone stop working. Just recently two of them have a black screen and beep when turned on right after the warranty expired. Get the extended warranty! I’m disappointed because I got them after reading all the good reviews.

Camera quit working after 3 weeks

The service department was very helpful, however my repair status has not changed in a week, so I am unaware if the unit has shipped or not. As of this time stay away from this computer

Posted .Hi, this could be a driver that needs updated. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan” In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

It won’t eve turn on. The cost to fix is more than it is to replace it. Customer service is nonexistent. Such as waste of money. Lenovo is a TERRIBLE brand with terrible support.

Crack Screen

I ordered it on 8/25 and picked it up 9/2. And, to my DISAPPOINTMENT, the computer arrived with a crack in the screen. I really needed this computer to start a new job. It is fast and compact. The screen is the size I needed in order to do my work on. I bought this on black friday and finally unboxed it. I cannot believe I got an amazing discount for a computer like this especially on black friday. From $729 to $499 that is a huge difference!!! I am hoping this computer will last long and provide me with the opportunity to continue using it even as I move further along in my career.
