It does the job just fine as it boots up quickly and is super simple to use. I used a school-provided Chromebook during high school and this is just as good! Note: This is a budget laptop so it might not be super-speedy or have the best display & speakers. But it works and I highly recommend it for basic tasks.

He mainly uses it for surfing the net and watching videos on You tube. Great buy!

But for an extra Chromebook (small is good) next to my Windows desktop it's great. It does Microsoft Office, I won't want to start a 10 sheet Excel doc on it, but a quick change to an existing one, it is fine. It does Android and with that I get Google Home. It lets me do 99% of what a Nest Home display does, anywhere. It does all of Google. I can keep one foot in Microsoft and one foot in Google. It has 2 usb C and 2 usb A ports so you can really have any port connected with the right adapter. Screen/Keyboard/Sound is definitely good enough. And the trackpad is good enough to connect a bluetooth mouse, and that's all I do on any trackpad on any laptop. I haven't had any wifi issues, even with a ton of devices competing for signal. For the price this works extremely well for me. I glad, I saw it on sale.
