Flashes BRIGHT light every time I open it

My main gripe is that it seems to totally power down when I close the laptop. Then when I open it, it flashes a very bright light suddenly. Then I have to login again. Every time. I'm pretty sure it's damaging my eyes. In addition, the display quality and sound is just fair. Will likely recycle this one. I used to like my old Lenovo. Will not buying another Lenovo laptop again.
