I thought I would like the way a Chromebook works, but decided I prefer to work on a windows based device when using my laptop. If you like the chromebook functional type, it would be a good buy.

It was very inexpensive but felt like it wasn't cheap. The screen was nice and clear. The Mediatek processor seemed faster than a Celeron you might find in models like this. Unfortunately, my the track pad stopped working. My mouse would just disappear and the only way to get it back was to plug in a USB mouse. But it would disappear and only work sporadically. I did the "power wash" and disabled all my extensions but it would still do the same thing--work about 10% of the time. I returned this, but if the track pad issue wasn't there I would have been pleased.

My first Chromebook after a Windows past.

I love the light weight (just under 3lb.), the quick (almost immediate) boot up, and processing power. It doesn't run all Android apps like I can run on my phone, so don't count on that. At least it's an improvement over older Chromebooks. As I've complained about other laptops, the touchpad is too sensitive. I haven't had time to learn all the keyboard shortcuts, and I'll probably be happier after I do that. Oh yes, I should add that I bought it on sale, and that made it a good value.

A touch screen with 300 nits is a bonus.

For me, I write and edit for hours. Battery lasts me a lot longer than it does for gaming. This computer is fast, handles dictation software well, also handles lots of tasks opened at once with ease. Photoshop is excellent on this computer. I love how sleek the design is and the backlit keyboard. It's so comfortable and easy to type on I can go super fast and my hands don't hurt at all. Also the cooling system is awesome, never gets hot like my old laptop. Overall, amazing laptop and I love it.

To start, try doing a hardware reset (visit the following link to learn how to do so: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/3227606?hl=en&sjid=11168473644130281663-NA), which reboots the embedded controller that manages various system components, a different reset that the factory reset you may have attempted before.
