The memory is only 2gb not 64gb

No 1920 x 1080 resolution with external monitor

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently received the Chromebook and upon connecting it to an external monitor, there is no option for 1920 x 1080 resolution- only 1440 x 900 at most. I have two other Windows laptops I've connected to this monitor, and both display 1920 x 1080 without issues. I've also connected both laptops to another monitor I have with no issues. But when connecting the Chromebook to the second monitor, the highest resolution is again 1440 x 900. The biggest issue is that there is no support whatsoever to try and fix this problem. I called Lenovo tech support, and was told someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. This seems a bit ridiculous, as I may be at work, running errands, and doing other things when the call comes- not sitting at home in front of the Chromebook waiting for a callback. I would assume a huge company like Lenovo would have a dedicated center you can call into, even if only during certain hours, and even if the wait ends up being an hour. In either case, it's been 48 hours, and still no call back from tech support. There is no option to submit a ticket online, and the manuals, forums, and troubleshooting options are severely lacking. It's almost as if the only thing they are giving you the option to do is to return it.

USB-C supports up to 1920x1080@60Hz. You can connect an HDMI monitor to this Chromebook by using a USB-c to HDMI adapter, like this one: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-usb-c-to-hdmi-adapter-black/6473497.p?skuId=6473497. To adjust the resolution of the external monitor, check your settings on the Chromebook as well as the monitor. I purchased this machine to run Linux. Unable to get past the hardware/software system locks embedded in ARM processor to install anything other than the stock Chrome OS it came with. The publicized Linux tools this machine is supposed to run and light and not useful for development purposes.
