Initial impressions not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.UPS almost massacred the thing in shipping but that's not part of the review. The bad first: --It's slow. The HDD is slow like icy tar. Needs an SSD --I paid full retail. not sure it's worth that --It's loaded w a lot of Lenovo junkware --It's huge. The bezel is huge, and it just seems too huge---->BESIDES THE FACT IT'S 15.6" --google chrome keeps freezing up...why?? --It gobbles up battery like a pig. not good --there's probly other things but not gonna list all... Good things --screen is nice --keys and bl is nice --tp isn't bad --its light --its metal --possibly more... I'm just kinda meh on it atm. basically i'm on the fence about it. YOU HAVE TO INSTALL AN SSD TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE i7. as it is this thing is a slug. RIDICULOUS 5400 RPM HDD BELONGS TO THE 1990'S, NOT 2015!!!

Love it, except...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy this unit expecting a great experience on Windows 10. After updating to Win10 via Microsoft's update program, the WiFi became unstable. After chatting with Lenovo, this laptop is not on their Windows 10 supported page, so they gave me the thumbs down support wise. So I had to back out to Windows 8.1, which is not all that bad, except i was expecting a pretty seamless upgrade given the proximity of my purchase to Win 10 General Availability, and to find out it's not even supported is, well, disappointing. The problem appears to be the Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 Wireless Network Adapter, which is very flaky on Win 10. I got very poor performance, and many network drops, and what looks like the Windows 10 version of a blue-screen-of-death. (it begins with a giant frowney face emoticon.) On the bright side, the overall performance is tolerable for me, as I only use MS Office, and some Ham Radio specific software. I think an SSD drive would speed things up a bit, but that's a pricey upgrade after just spending nearly a grand. I would hope that Qualcomm would somehow get this Adapter issue resolved, which seems to be iffy at this point, given that I can't find any drivers or product information about this adapter on the Qualcomm website.

Why the Lemons?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only issue I have with this current computer....My keyboard has the spacebar with the orange symbol (FN+SPACEBAR= Light up keys......) Only my keys don't light up. Bestbuy can't tell me if my computer model is supposed to have lightup keys or if they "recycled part" Overall the computer is great, but I think I need to swap it out and see if another has the feature I'm looking for.

Didn't receive the free bonus item
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop works just great, but the disappointing part is that BestBuy never gave me the free bonus item - antivirus software. Customer care didn't help and my calls were dropped twice without giving a proper response.

Good-ish Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want an average gaming laptop that does not look like a gaudy gaming laptop then consider this. I just wish it had a full hinge.

Love My Lenovo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My office purchases this brand and I love it because it's a work horse. Mine has never broken or failed me during our busy season. This is why I purchased a Lenovo. Great price, great computer, and with everything I wanted.

Bad Hardware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within a week that I gotten this, The casing of monitor has undone when I attempted to close it and now it is unable to close properly. I've not don't anything to damage it and plan on returning it for a different model. hopefully, BestBuy allows my return. Other than the horrible material, I had no other problems. The specs are great and quick when performing moderate activities.

Worst Laptop Bar None!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Lenovo Edge 3 months ago. I should of did my homework because this laptop is a product that you can only purchase at BestBuy. This laptop is nothing but a piece of JUNK. The display will go first, Burn in problems, ghost effects, a red shade that you cannot fix will blend in on the content. It's will become unreadable and just terrible. Nothing but problems with this piece of JUNK!!!! Don't buy this product, by FAR the worst laptop I have ever experience.

Be cautious with Windows 10 and Kaspersky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be extremely cautious with upgrading this machine to Windows 10 and using Kaspersky Total Security Software. Best Buy did not bother to tell me that the Kaspersky they gave me with the purchase was not compatible with Windows 10. I found out when someone tried to wire funds out of my brokerage account. After research I found there were known compatibility issues and Kaspersky is offering a free upgrade from 2015 to 2016. After upgrading there are still compatibility issues and I have not found anyone willing to help me make a setting change to make them compatible with paying a $200 service contract fee. Best Buy and Lenovo are unwilling to help with the issue. Kaspersky has indicated they will help, only time will tell. In the mean time I have an investment in a computer that I cannot use for email or on the internet. I also purchased a lot of software that is licensed to only one machine so scrapping this PC and Kaspersky is only part of the financial loss.

Touchscreen Fails
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brought this T U R D home and tried it out. I could drag items, open apps, but any kind of button or anything on my desktop can not be accessed. First noticed this when I opened the sports app and was unable to use the back button with the touch function. It would light up like I touched it but do nothing. Tried it in several different apps to no effect. Apparently Lenovo and Windows do not work together. Returning it tomorrow and getting something else THAT IS NOT LENOVO GARBAGE.

Pretty annoyed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had two of these now and both have had major problems. Its a great computer if you can find one that will actually work. From the laptop lagging, keyboard not working, touchpad not working, it taking forever to start up, cutting off randomly, tablet mode not working, I'm just annoyed.

It really sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The touch screen flickers on and off, it crashes randomly, not to mention the poor resolution it randomly turns into. My worst enemy wouldn't even deserve this laptop. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
