Customers are saying

Customers praise the Flex 3 Chromebook's touchscreen, ease of use, and affordability. Many appreciate its long battery life, compact size, and lightweight design, finding it performs well for its price. However, some users point out the lack of an HDMI port and limited RAM as drawbacks. The overall feedback suggests a positive experience for most users, despite these minor shortcomings.

Works very good, no lag logging in, searching is quick, google apps are nice to have. Not a laptop but does everything you need to do with everyday searches, banking, buying, Amazon, EBay etc. the only issue I have is no zooming feature that is clear in YouTube, but does a great job on everything else. Not for gaming. The touch screen works just fine also. If you only need basic stuff this is perfect for you. The keyboard folds under so you have an iPad type interface with the touch screen. Battery lasts a couple of days with normal usage but not staying on it for all day, will last most of the day then.

I have a 15 inch Acer but I wanted something smaller for on-the-go. The sale price was great especially since this model has a touch screen. Best Buy has some really good sales prices.

Just some spec clarification as of the writing of this review: The CPU -The Best Buy title description and specifications section lists both the MediaTek 8183 and MediaTek 8173c as being in this Chromebook. -In settings, you can find that this particular model (#82KM0003US) is equipped with the MediaTek 8183 (aka Kompanio 500). The I/O -The product images on the Best Buy page show two USB-A ports. -This model has only one USB-A port on the left side accompanying the Micro-SD card reader and USB-C port. The 3.5mm audio jack is also there. The Charger -Charging is done through the USB-C port -You get a standard power brick setup. More Subjective Things: The Display -I don't know how to test this, but the display does appear to be an IPS panel. Viewing angles are good and colors don't appear horribly washed out. In the Q&A, Lenovo does state that this Chromebook does indeed have an IPS panel. For an 11.6 inch device under $200, though, I was suspicious, especially after seeing the Best Buy page list two different CPUs. Being a convertible, Lenovo would have to have been pretty money hungry to put a TN panel on this thing. Thankfully, it looks like they aren't, at least not in this particular case. In a nutshell, if you've ever had the chance to see the TN panel on Samsung's 11.6 inch Chromebook 4, the panel on this Lenovo blows the pants off the Samsung Chromebook.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 3 11 Chromebook, model number 82KM0003US. The processor within this specific model number is, as you point out, the 8-Core, MediaTek MT8183 Processor. The port configuration on this model is as you correctly describe for this model: 1x USB 2.0 Type A, 1x USB-C 2.0 (support data transfer, Power Delivery 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.1a) with video out to an external monitor, 1x microSD card reader, 1x Headphone / microphone combo jack (3.5mm). This model configuration of the Flex 3 11 Chromebook ships with a: 11.6 inch (screen size measured diagonally) IPS - HD (1366x768) 10-point Multi-touch screen, with a brightness level of 250 nits, has a Glossy finish. This screen has Viewing Angles of ( V / H ) of: 170-degrees / 170-degrees. This screen provides 67 Percent of the sRGB (45 Percent of the NTSC) color gamut. We apologize for the confusion with this model's specifications. We are pleased to hear that the features and performance of the Lenovo Flex 3 11 Chromebook meets your computing needs so well. Bad Quality Does Not Mean Bad Value

This machine is bad. You have to know that it's bad. Even as I write this review on it I can't help but think about how bad it is. The keyboard is painfully cramped (I'm not prone to wrist trouble, but my wrists are at such a weird angle that this actually hurts), the screen looks terrible, and it is so slow that even typing feels stymied. Web browsing is stilted because it can't load a web page faster than it can be scrolled through. Then you add in that it is heavier than faster laptops you might own and think about the fact that this is also supposed to be a convertible, meaning everything I've already said is tripled when thinking of it as a tablet. It is a bad gaming machine. It's a bad productivity machine. It's not very portable because it's so heavy and thick. It's so small that you can't really use this 'laptop' on your lap. Oh, and it's a Chromebook, meaning if you're not well into the Google ecosystem -and our family is not- compatibility with anything but the most basic tasks is a gamble. I haven't even tried to watch video besides Youtube because Apple's ecosystem and Google's just don't get along. And none of it matters because this thing can be found for $100. The fact that it does everything it can do poorly doesn't change the fact that it can do it all for less than the cost of a trip to Applebees for three adults. The extreme low cost changes the game. And on that merit alone the fact that you can create a spreadsheet on it if you want to means it's good value. You can watch Youtube. You can use social media. You can even play some some games if that's your thing. Then there are some really great points. The fact that it is heavy also belies a relatively good build quality. Little chassis flex, the hinges are well made and don't make noise. The keyboard may be cramped, but the keys don't feel cheap and sound nice. The battery life is also really great, great enough that I've repurposed the charger for other things and just move it there for a top up when needed. Bottom line is that you shouldn't buy this machine. Find out what you need a computer or tablet to do and buy one that does that well. But if you need a gift for a child or just want a backup or just want something to leave in the kitchen to reference recipes without feeling like you're taking a risk with a device you depend on, you won't regret buying this. You won't be thrilled, but you certainly won't have regret.

I found it to be clear and bright screen. It is my first time I bought a chromebook and glad I did.My grandkids have used them for school,of course with a bigger screen. This size is great for me.I'm just learning how to use the different features with the help from my daughter.Of course my age doesn't play a part in that! It is easy to use,the charge last a long time.I would but it again, but maybe with a bigger screen, when I'm older! I would recommend this device to anyone.

My kids have not used this device for a long time, but the first impression is great. Set up was great and easy to use for the kids. It allows us to set the laptop with their kids account and school account. The touchscreen is an added bonus. It can be used to introduce kids to use of personal computer and can be used as tablets. For the price, this is an excellent purchase

I bought this Chromebook as a cheap ($99 at purchase) backup for my laptop. For that price, it's pretty impressive. It boots quickly, works responsively, and looks great. It even has a touchscreen. It's also good for traveling since it's very compact, and with everything in the cloud, having something happen to it would not be a big deal. I probably wouldn't use it as my main laptop, but for what it is, I'm pleased with it.
