Lenovo has put out some quality systems lately, and I really like the hinge design on this. My only complaint is I wish it had a better processor, but for email and web surfing its fine.

I work a lot with characters that require the shift key, so it has been pretty hard to adjust to that. Other than that, I don't really have anything to complain about since I got it for around $300.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
Good for General PC Use

I purchased one a couple of months back when I spilled coffee on the previous laptop. (not good.) It has worked fine for me as I use my laptop mainly for email, web browsing, Excel, Word, etc. It is not super fast but it does what I need. Plus, if has a very good battery life. I never have to find a plug in when I am using. I just charge between uses. The 2nd Lenovo - Flex 4 14 2-in-1 laptop was for my son. It had some issues when we first purchased. It would restart randomly several times a day. We called tech support and they were able to diagnose a video driver that needed to be updated. Once the driver was updated, everything has worked fine. The laptop is not going to be a good gaming machine but it is okay for general use. I am happy I made the (2) purchases.

There isn't a DVD drive or place to put one. This was bought for my 7 year old to play educational games on and it is perfect for that. I love that I can set parental controls on almost everything, including only allowing access to only websites I approved, a use timer, activity tracker, and can even add a windows phone to keep track of that to.The battery lasts approximately 5-6 hours with medium to low screen brightness. I'm pleased with the purchase.

With regard to the onscreen keyboard popping up on its own, this will happen if the cursor is in a text field or if you go to a web page where the page opens on a text entry field. You just need to touch the screen outside of the text box to close the onscreen keyboard. You can also shut off the automatic pop up of the onscreen keyboard, just type or say "Onscreen keyboard" in the Cortana search window in Windows 10. Click on Settings: Onscreen Keyboard. You can shut the feature off there.
