He was originally thinking a Mac, but after reading a few reviews on line we looked at the Lenovo Yoga. It's small and easy to carry, has great battery life and a touch screen the Mac doesn't offer. We were sold. It's been four weeks that he's had it and so far everyone is happy.

I also needed to get online so I could gather information that was needed. This fit the bill & because it was discounted as being open boxed, it was within my price range.

With regard to the anti-virus slowing your system down, if you did not use the MacAfee that is installed on the device, you need to uninstall the MacAfee software before you install any other 3rd party anti-virus software or it will definitely slowdown your system.

Posted .This system should provide good speed with its Intel Pentium processor and 4GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Looking forward to my next scuba diving trip to use the laptop for viewing underwater GoPro videos and underwater pictures. The touch screen function is fantastic. Just like my cell phone only a much bigger screen.

I got the best of both worlds as I can use this a laptop or tablet. Most of the products in my household are Apple Products but went with this Lenovo Ideapad because my wife needed something close to what she uses at work. Perfect for our situation!

It was a replacement for his Lenovo which crashed. This computer is very functional and compact. It's easy to carry on trips as it is very light. We use it mainly for searching the web, email and microsoft programs. No issues - highly recommend.
