||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once again, long time HP buyer, but hello Lenova, first a desktop, now a laptop, and again, no surprises, no bloatware, just an easy, user friendly setup, right out of the box, up and running in less than 20 minutes, not a hi dollar unit, but certainly worthy of the name, great work Lenova, your my preference from now on! Didn't come with a CD drive, but I don't use one that much, so I went with a $15.00 plug in, works great, cuts down on the weight and thickness. Thanks Best Buy!

I read other people's review and didn't care much about the whiny complaints about the right shift key being at an odd location. Honestly that's a non-factor compare to how good the laptop is. If that's seriously the reason why NOT to buy the laptop then by all means DON'T buy it. BUT if you want to get a laptop for reliability then by all means this is a great buy! I'm seriously disappointed that we couldn't buy 2 when Best Buy was discounting them down during back to school otherwise we would have bought two at the price they sold them.

Easy to use

It’s simple to use. It’s not a fancy gamer computer but for basic daily use they’ve held up well. I take it into the geek squad for any repairs or updates. Upgrade to Windows 10 was a bit challenging but otherwise computer has held up well.

My issue with it is that the UP arrow is where the right shift key should be. I'm typing this on a mini Bluetooth keyboard I got because it's so hard for me to type using the laptop keyboard. I'm constantly hitting the UP arrow and it throws me off. Also, when you flip the screen over to use as a tablet, there is no protection for the keyboard--it's going to rest on your lap or table or where you might put it down The keys are barely recessed, so I'm not using this as a tablet at all. I didn't really start using this until the 30 days had passed or I would have returned this laptop.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. Concerning the keys in tablet mode, the keyboard turns off when you rotate the keyboard past 183-degrees so you can't inadvertently make an entry when the device is in tablet mode.

There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

Did encounter a couple of interesting glitches when trying to power on the laptop and heard a scratching sound once but have not heard them again. As with any laptops, try not to overwork it with having a lot of apps running. Last thing, would have liked if the product came with it's pencil stylus.
