You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 4-14. With regard to streaming high quality video to an external TV, the maximum resolution this system can produce is 1366 x 768 HD resolution. If the content you are trying to stream is of higher resolution that this, it could slow down the signal stream.

The right side up arrow is in the shift spot. It is kind of annoying for constant writing but you can reassign the up arrow to be shift!

You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Good computer for non-computer savvy person

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 4-14 for your mother. With regard to the automatic Windows updates, your mother can turn off the automatic updates. She will get a notice when there is an update for the computer, your mother can choose when to have the update run, say over night or other non-use time. This will also giver her the opportunity to create a restore point for the system incase the update doesn't work out properly.

The picture on the screen is awful! You know those dot matrix printers from ages ago? That's what the text on it looks like and photos look like they were printed on sand paper... got my first laptop in 1998/99 and I don't remember the screen being that bad! This is a sad excuse for a modern laptop!

Posted .We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your Lenovo Flex 4-14 and the screen resolution of the device. This system has a screen resolution of 1366 X 768 (HD). Be sure your screen resolution setting is set to this level. You can check this setting by right clicking of the desktop screen of Windows 10. Click on "Display Settings" within the window that opens. Then check the resolution settings within the settings window that opens.

Unfortunately, he is in a very rural area where the internet signal is weak, and this computer will only go to its home page and no further. So Dad is still working on his old laptop (which will work on a weaker signal), and this one sits on the coffee table. Other than that, it seems to work like a laptop should.

Posted .It sounds like there is no internet signal connected to the device. Check the internet connection and if your father is using a wireless router, check the settings of the router.
