I started looking for a 2 in 1 as I realized after a year that a tablet did not quite meet my needs. I have a very powerful laptop for work, but I needed something that would let me do my personal stuff, watch movies on the airplane, let me read books, etc... This Lenovo Flex is perfect. By no means is this going to let you do hardcore gaming or multi-tab pivot table rich spreadsheets. However, for the typical user, this is perfect. Sure, it is a bit slower to start and open programs than my loaded out i7/12GB RAM/SSD laptop. For personal needs however, I don't need that kind of power to check websites, read books, pay bills, watch movies, and play most "normal" games. What I really love about the flex is that it can truely be both a laptop and a tablet. It is heavier than a tablet by 3-4x, but it has a full 14" screen, and a real keyboard, so that is to be expected. At less than $400.00 it is a fair bit cheaper than many tablets as well. The touch screen is excellent, with great clarity. The thing that really impressed me is the battery life. Watching two movie on an airplane would pretty well bring my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 from 100% to ~35%. With the flex, the battery came down to about 50%. I can do most all of my normal task on the flex throughout a normal day and not need to be plugged in. The only thing I do not like so far is the right hand shift key. To fit the keyboard layout Lenovo decided to go for (full size arrow keys) the right hand shift key is half width and all the way to th outside edge of the keyboard. For long time keyboarders/typists this takes some serious getting used to. I have spent a fair bit of time trying to find my cursor after hitting the up arrow when I was trying to hit the shift key. That said, after a couple of weeks of using this keyboard, I have gotten used to it, and now it is seamless. The only other minor issue is that this unit does not have a backlit keyboard. This is a bests buy exclusive model and they apparently spec'd it that way. Again, I am getting used to it and do not consider it a major annoyance. All in all, I would say this is a great laptop/tablet for someone looking to have a real keyboard, but wanting to also have the tablet benefits. Hardcore gamers and data jockeys will not be happy with this , but I would guess better than 90% of the computing public will be very happy.

This laptop is the perfect size and fit for a college student on the go. It has pretty of space and great speed processor.
