My college freshman's laptop broke down right before final exams (AHHHGGGG). I had to run out last minute and get a dependable durable laptop. This did the job my son says this laptop is top notch he loves the touch features and the speed.

Grandpa needed a new computer for scrolling his facebook and playing his pop it. Works great for when he is sitting in the living room with his feet up.

This is a good device to use for school or light use.

Although the 14” screen on this laptop makes it attractive as a travel laptop, there are a couple of drawbacks that make it a miss. First the pluses. As stated, it is a good size for travel and being able to fold it over to use as a tablet is a huge plus….when it’s working. But more on that later. The touch screen function is great and there are two USB ports so you can plug in a (wireless) mouse and a flash drive or second monitor if you need one. The graphics card is fine as long as you don’t want to play games that are too graphics intensive and the processing speed is fine as long as you don’t plan to run too many apps at once; not the best, but definitely a bit better than economy chromebooks and other 4GB processors. Now for the downside. When it works, it works, but when it doesn’t buckle up. If you aren’t in the habit of restarting weekly, get used to it. With out doing that the machine will start to slow down noticeably and get very cranky…you’ll see a definite passive aggressive personality surface. Responsiveness will slow down and things will stop working until the ideapad is started and then everything will be great again…until it’s not. One unique bad thing that surfaced on my device at the six month point is that both the tracking pad and keyboard stopped working. I was able to use a wireless mouse and virtual keyboard to get into it to access Lenovo Vantage to try to get help from the chatbot, but that was quite tedious as you may imagine. After ensuring that there were no software issues after a 90 min call with Microsoft, I ended up calling the support line at Lenovo. Here's where things get really bad. The basic (or Good as Lenovo calls it) warranty level that is included with the device as purchased includes basic phone support. The tech I spoke with immediately jumped to a full factory reset as a solution to the issue, meaning that all data on the laptop would be lost; I finally reasoned them into a compromise of the BIOS reset of the system, which reactivated both the tracking pad and the keyboard, but only for three days when the issue occurred again and I had to go through this process anew. If an issue cannot be fixed virtually, you'll need to mail in the laptop and be without it for 3-4 weeks barring any unforseen delays in parts or repair times. After the second reset, I was offered an extension/upgrade to my warranty which included next day, in home tech support for future issues vice 3-4 week mail in repair support & enhanced tech support, which seemed like a good deal until I found out that: (1) it would not apply to the issue I was currently having since it was “pre-existing” & (2) “next day” meant 3-5 days after I reported an issue since no parts are kept on hand and the parts are only sent to local techs once they request them from Lenovo – total wait time 4-6 biz days. Not really an option if you use a computer daily. All in all, this was a machine that showed promise, but was a big letdown, both in terms of performance and brand support/integrity. Doubt I’ll be getting another Lenovo anytime soon.

Bought for my wife for simple tasks, web browing, social networks, emails, TV on line.. perfect fot that and very good for the price.

Love this laptop/tablet. Small keyboard so I can easily type with my one hand. I have used it everyday since I got it. It is my second Lenovo. Old one still works great. The battery needed replaced and I couldn't find one I trusted.

I really like this laptop for my purposes, which is primarily browsing, shopping checking email etc. The only issue I have is that the two USB ports seems to be loose somehow. Where anything that I plug into them including flash drives, my wireless mouse repeatedly looses its connection and functionality because the connection goes in and out. Will likely have to return this product for that reason.

Tbh, I originally didn’t want a laptop with 512 gb. I was looking for a 1Tb but it’s okay. I love this laptop, I had to switch out of S Mode so I could use it for my business & download what I needed. The backlit keyboard is really amazing! I loved it. That & the 2 in 1 capability that it can turn into a tablet sold me. I had to buy! Haven’t even gotten started to fully use it but so far so good. No complaints. I wish I had photos.
