Wow for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer as a "cheapy" for my kids because of their unmatched ability to click on anything and everything and bring even the fastest of computers to a screeching halt. I must say I wasn't expecting much I was expecting what I was paying for and hoping it lasted a year or two before the kids crashed it. After using it I'm not going to lie, I love it, I would buy another for myself if I wasn't a MacBook guy. This thing is lightning fast after the initial boot, ill say it rivals my Mac in speed #which has a 2.2 I7 in it# I had no issues connecting to wifi, Bluetooth or anything else...I would recommend this machine to anyone

Love this computer with REAL expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't think you are getting a top of the line i7. This computer set up flawlessly and was very smooth. Feels a bit flimsy BUT IT'S A 300.00 LAPTOP. It's a 6th Gen A8 with 8GB and a decent graphics card for the price. I personally am an intel guy and this is my 1st AMD product. I was skeptical, but i liked this computer so much (purchased for daughter for XMAS) i bought another one within an hour of trying it out. You get what you pay for and in my opinion and in this case, i think you get a bit more for what you pay for. Picking up my second one when the doors open tomorrow morning. And yes. No problem with Minecraft local or servers set at 8 chunks. Not bad for a 300.00 laptop.

Excellent laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this as a Christmas gift. My son loves the speed and the ample storage space that it has. I couldn't believe the price . . . . was only a few dollars more for the 1T than the 500MB. Couldn't pass it up.

Not impressed. Cheaply built.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid this laptop. It is cheaply built. The keyboard had quite a bit of flex. The piece of plastic surrounding the keys was lifting around the edges. The track pad has a rough surface and is very uncomfortable. Also, two finger tap to right click is not configurable without using regedit to tweak registry settings. The Radeon graphics are nothing special unless you don't mind playing games on medium to low settings. Definitely not a reason to pick this over a laptop with an intel i3/i5 chip running HD 5500 graphics. Windows performance should have been smooth with 8 GB of ram but I was constantly met with the blue loading circle and jerky, twitchy mouse movements. I returned this laptop to Bestbuy and got an HP laptop with an Intel i3 chip. I should have bought the HP to begin with. This Lenovo was my first experience with an AMD chip and I was not impressed. I do not recommend.

Outstanding Value laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues out of box. Speedy, stable, and a great value, that replaced my old and dying apple notebook. I don't understand the hate on this laptop, it worked well for me. I just downloaded and applied all of the latest Microsoft patches. Extremely helpful sales associates who helped me with any questions I had.

Cheap PC that works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price of the computer it works extremely well. I bought mine when it was 299. I read all the reviews and I figured what a wildshot worth to take. I bought this computer to replace an HP. I have had no trouble out of this Lenovo so far that I bought the day after Christmas. The only real complaint I have with the computer is that the processor is a bit slow, and they would've been better for this computer I would have given a five-star. For the price of the computer I really can't complain if it last a couple years I think I would have gotten my money's worth.

Very fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read reviews saying this was very slow and I think people mean that internet explorer is slow if you download google chrome that's a faster browser. And plays games at decent quality although definitely not for newer titles

Great laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the con's about the Lenovo G51 and I personally haven't seen any. I have had a few laptops in the $ 300.00 price range and this one is everything and more than I expected.

Great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop for the price. Configuring the operating system takes some time, which is typical, but no delays whatsoever afterwards. Connects great to the wifi and Netflix comes in crystal clear. I would recommend.

Excellent laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read all the reviews and still bought the laptop. After completing the setup, I went to the Lenovo settings, I turned off the battery saver. The application even said that the battery would only charge to 55 - 60 percent to save the life of the battery while used plugged in. Every review that said they had a defective battery without getting the problem fixed wasted their time and money, and ours by not learning how to operate their new laptop. This setting is default for the program. Solid construction, lighter and thinner than the Dell it replaced.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading the reviews on this computer I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try. So far the computer is great. Runs fast and this is the most important. I didn't encounter any of the problems mentioned in the reviews. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Mediocre Product, I wouldn't recommend it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product for $250 (open box) and I thought I was getting a steal. I mean look at those specs: 8 GB memory, 2.2 Ghz, 1 TB of space, AMD A8-Series, and AMD Radeon R5 graphics with Windows 10 pre-installed. So, what could go wrong? Well, anytime some product is extremely inexpensive, there's almost always a purpose behind it with some ugly strings attached. I played a video on Youtube in HD and the graphics on this Lenovo G51 looked like something out of 1993, the quality was horrendous. And I compared it by running it simultaneously with my pristine HP Envy, and the Lenovo looked like a joke. It's cheaply made and a sham for a laptop. Keys on the keyboard were falling out, battery said 2 more hours to fully charge and it wasn't even charging. The durability might last you two years max. The Lenovo G50 and G51 products are generic brand laptops, something that DollarTree would attempt to sell. Just because you have quality specs doesn't exactly correlate to a quality final product since that depends on the manufacturer. Lenovo has failed tremendously in intimating higher-end laptops by creating far reduced imitation. Now, this is not to say this laptop wouldn't work fine for your 80 yr old grandma with 20/40 vision, but this is not a laptop for audio, video or entertainment purposes. It'll work strictly for word processing, browsing/reading and solitaire galore, basically all the 1992 stuff you need and more. I returned this laptop within 2 days and no longer going the cheap route on laptops, you get what you pay for.

SLOW
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this laptop after reading the reviews online. I did read some reviews stating that it was slow but I didn't think it would be this slow. I needed a new laptop since I'm going back to finish my degree and all my classes are online. I really hope that once more software or programs are installed that it doesn't get any slower. However, I actually do really like this laptop it's just when using the internet, certain websites takes some time to load vs. my old HP which had less ram and memory than this laptop. Again, this laptop is a bit slower than I anticipated but overall I really like it. I think I got a great deal and this will work great for me to finish school with. With tax I paid $340 and for the amount of RAM and hard drive I think it's worth it. Laptop is a bit heavier than the newer laptops these days but it has a nice large screen.

Battery problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on cyber monday and had to exchange 3 times because of battery problem. The first one did not charge at all, 2nd and 3rd one charged upto 60% then stopped charging. Looks like I found the defected ones or this is all they have. If you can find one with no issues great deal.

Nice features, but slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually like Windows 10, and the features in this laptop are solid. However, it's SLOW! I do not use it for games. It seems to take forever to access files, and it doesn't load web-based videos. My employer-supplied laptop works far faster, and it has a lesser processor and less RAM. After only 3 months, I am going to donate this laptop to a charity and buy something faster.

Easy Set Up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full size keyboard/ keypad was a great sell for me. Also 8GB RAM is sufficent for running and a TB Hard Drive is great.

brand-new but battery didn't charge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a few days I noticed that the battery indicator never showed %100, only %65 max. Geek suggested I bring it back to Best buy! But a call to Lenovo was useful-- they very nicely re-installed the BIOS, which fixed the problem. Only took 1.5 hour.
