Beautiful Nightmare
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it because of the great screen resolution and price. Had it for a little over a month and the hard drive crashed. Total nightmare. Swapped out to an HP, never been happier

Had to return the laptop due to failed battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery failed 2 weeks after purchase. Best Buy would not replace just the battery and did not have a comparable replacement for the laptop

best laptop out of other brands
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had hp and asus with the same specs before i bought this one and lenovo is the best of them all and a better price, its build realy good not flemzy like asus and the sound is really good and loud unlike hp, and doesnt over heat or the fan doesnt sound like a vacuum like hp does, this is a really fast computer, i had hp with i5 intel and this one is alot faster and you can easly upgrade the hard drive and memory with out taking the hole computer apart like asus and hp just 2 screws on the bottom plate is all, and it starts up alot faster than my asus did and has better tech support and updates are easy on this laptop than the other brands. plus this laptop has bluetooth build in and comes with Cyberlink PowerDVD, CyberLink Power2Go and more software than the other brands, the hp and asus didnt have bluetooth and it would cost you 40 or 50 dollars more to get that on hp and asus they dont have no cd burning software or dvd player software, this is a really good price on this lenovo why pay more and get less on other brands

Pretty good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent basic laptop for the price. I had an Asus that I used for about 5 years and decided to get another Asus since I had such good luck with the previous one. Cost about $500. After only a year, just after the warranty expired, the hard drive went. Took it to Geek squad they said it would be about $300 to fix. I said for that price I could buy a cheap laptop. I actually like this Lenovo better than the more expensive Asus. I use it for light gaming, online school, youtube, and other basic uses.

Great starter for who may still need 17+ screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I would not buy one of these for myself, but I got this for my parents who are aging and bigger screen + native lower screen resolution just pairs up super nice for them. They honestly cant see them pixels nor would they care. You should not either, as long as it isn't 768 vertical. Build is great for an entry level, certainly better than Dell or HP, or at least lenovo makes it look nicer than theirs. Broadwell i3 is all one would ever need for basic computing, and my parent's are thoroughly satisfied (they just need that bigger screen). Haven't had long enough to comment on longevity, but lenovos do tend to die with critical issues more than usual. Crossing fingers.

Actually 4.8 Rating Very Happy For My Needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would have got a 5 except for I do wish resolution was a bit better. Visually, it could be a bit crisper. Also I would have loved a lighted key board. Minor grievances for all it's plus factors. Especially fantastic price being number one. I do basic computing. Emails, shopping, face book, web surfing, you tube, ebay-ing and so on.... This fits my needs perfectly and at such a bargain for under $300. I purchased it almost 2 weeks ago for 313.00 and saw today was lowered to 297.00. Just got off the phone w/ bb for a price match. Very cool indeed! My old Toshiba satellite was acting up and could tell it's time was drawing near. I wanted to get a new one before it died so I could get what I needed off of it first. I am extremely pleased with it from ample size, yet light weight, to ease of use, speed and every thing in between. I would definitely recommend unless your a big time gamer. I showed it to one of my computer savvy, big time player coworkers and he said no way would it work for him. For me however... almost perfect. With this price, I figure if I feel I want to upgrade even a year or two from now, I won't feel burned at all. I especially like I can add more RAM easily if needed. That is one of the things my co-worker really did like. He is already hooking me up . Honestly, at this point though, I really don't think I need it but I'll take it. A definite Best Buy! BTW the price match call customer service was superb and took less then 3 minutes.

Great for the Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer mainly for school, and as a struggling college student I got it at a great price! Coming from a Macbook, this was surprisingly easy to figure out how to use, and pretty much just as fast. The screen could be just a tad brighter, but that's really just if I'm LOOKING to find something to complain about. I was also happy to find that it does handle some basic games, including World of Warcraft and Wild Star Online. Great buy!!

Great laptop for work and play
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've gone through so many laptops over the last few years. For a reasonably priced laptop, this was a great choice for me. I am a real estate appraiser, and working on my reports on this screen has been great. I upgraded the ram from the installed 4gb to 16gb and the internet just flys. Overally, I'm very happy!

broke first day, replacement broke first day
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first day of use the computer locked the bottom third of the screen when I went online to watch a youtube video. The video ran in the top 2/3 of screen but the bottom third of screen locked and I was not able to use the mouse to get to start button. Despite several restarts, the problem returned consistently every time I went to the internet. I took the laptop back to the store and Best Buy said it was a hardware issue. Their customer service was very good and gave me a replacement unit of the same model no questions asked. The first day of using the replacement unit, the built in mouse pad stopped working. I returned the product and got my money back. This model seems to be a dud! I recommend to avoid it.

Great computer for leisurely use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has great graphics, a clear large screen, and excellent technical support. However, the only cons I can think of is the fact that it crashes periodically, and also when I restart the computer and the mouse does not work. I have to go into the settings and reenable the mouse via keyboard controls

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo G70 laptop. With regard to the crashing of your system, this sound like there may be too many programs or windows open. Close any programs and windows you don't need open and this will free up system resources for what you are currently working on.

good bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this for my boss to use since he is going to be occasionally working from home. I like the one key restore for when he messes it up. I can reload it just as it was when I gave it to him. Now if I could only get him to save his files to the server like he is supposed to!
