Bought this to replace a more expensive brand tablet that I had for only a year and a half after it broke (charging port). Works great for my needs, nice picture and half the cost of my old one

I bought 2 of these for my Grandkids and they love them. They game on them and use them for school work. I've used them a few times and they are great. Can't beat them for the money.

My last two tablets were an iPad Air (1st generation) and an Acer tablet that is so old, I don't recall what model number it is. The Acer tablet had two micro-USB ports so you could plug in adapters to allow you to plug in a USB stick to play media off of it. It was a pleasant surprise at the time and my dad used the heck out of that over the years. But the Acer tablet almost immediately started to show its slow processing power and limited memory (1 GB). The iPad Air is still fast enough to do some browsing and simple games, but it's long past it's support period and hasn't taken an iOS update for a few years now. I still like being able to browse the web while I'm watching a TV show or sometimes watch a movie on a decent sized tablet and not just on my phone. So it got me looking at tablets again. I stumbled upon the Lenovo Idea Pad and the price sounded really good. I'll be honest, I briefly considered the Amazon Fire tablet line. I've had a couple of their Fire tablets for the kids and I consider them slow and bloated with too many Amazon apps. From a memory, storage and a price standpoint the Lenovo Idea Tab sounded like a better option. The Lenovo Idea Tab specs are: 11" class tablet running a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Octa Core processor with 4 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage. The screen is a 2.5K display at 2560 x 1600 resolution at 90Hz refresh rate. I really like that it has a micro-SD card slot that takes up to 128 GB. Around the edge of the tablet there are 4 speaker grills, power button and volume buttons, a headphone jack and a USB-C port for data and charging. Included with the tablet came a USB-C to USB-C cable. You have to supply your own wall adapter. At the bottom of the tablet it even has 3 contacts which I found out were to allow you to use the Tab keyboard. While it may be convenient, I don't think I'll get to the point of purchasing a keyboard. I was pleasantly surprised though, that I could run a USB stick and browse and play all its contents. It took a few minutes to get this to work. I believe part of this was because the tablet itself was pending some software/system updates, but once it got going, it was great. I even plugged in an external 2TB SSD and played a movie without any issue. The Idea Tab does come with some note taking applications that allow pen input and I'm still on the fence about getting the Lenovo Tab Pen (sold separately). If I were more prone to writing things down vs. typing them, I may consider it more, or if there were a sale on the Pen. There are also a handful of 'suggested' applications that started to automatically install when I first set up the Idea Tab, but I quickly got rid of them and enjoyed some other apps. Feature and price wise, the Lenovo Idea Tab has been a great replacement for my previous tablets. I would urge anyone considering a tablet purchase to really consider the Lenovo Tab line.

I got this Lenovo Idea Tab to use along with my other tablet, an iPad Pro. I use the iPad a fair amount, so I thought I could add this Idea Tab to the mix and have two tablets to use whenever I needed them. If you are coming from the Apple world, as I am, mostly, this tablet is a bit confusing. iPads are pretty intuitive and easy to get around on and in for Apple users. If you are already a heavy Android user, this will be easy for you to use. The most attractive thing about this tablet to me is the affordable price of around $190. (At the time that I wrote this review) iPads usually start off at quite a bit more, so that is why I decided to give it a try.It does not come with a tab pen, but you can buy one separately. The screen size is 11” diagonally. The actual usable screen size is 5-¾” x 9-¼”, and is a nice size for viewing. There is a MicroSD card slot to add memory, but I don’t know about that sort of thing, coming from Apple and all. The specs say the memory is expandable up to 1TB.This tablet starts out at 128GB out of the box. There is a microphone/ headphone/ Aux jack port! I saw the hole on the corner of the tablet and couldn’t really tell if it was anything, so I plugged in wired earbuds and it actually worked. That is a nice thing to include these days. Wired earbuds are not included in the box. I have a whole collection of wired earbuds I can choose from. There are four speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos® on this tablet if you want to utilize those. The screen is nice and is quite crisp. There is a dark and a light mode you can choose from, similar to in the Apple iOS. There is the Google Play App store so you can add whatever apps you like that you also have on your phone if you want to. The battery life is great, a lot better than what I’m used to on my iPad. There are a few ways you can adjust your settings for optimal battery life, but you might not need it. Included is a nice quality USB-A to USB-C charging cable. I think you will like this tablet if you are familiar with the Android operating system. For me, it’s a lot to figure out. I’ll get it eventually. It’s just not as easy to plug in and start using as my iPad.

The Lenovo Idea Tab 11” Tablet is a great budget buy. It's fast and smooth loading and switching between apps. I've mostly used Samsung products and the Lenovo is similar and intuitive enough to operate. It's light and thin making it nice to hold for long periods of time. I took this on a 16 hour road trip and streamed movies. It worked great for this use case with a bright crisp display. The sound was alright, I expected it to sound a little more dynamic with some lower end. The battery lasted through hours of streaming. I also did some sketching on it with my finger and you could get basic ideas down. I think with the Lenovo Tab pen accessory it would probably work good for drawing. I don't have the keyboard that hooks up to this but there's potential for light PC work. The display is a nice size and you can upgrade the storage with a micro SD card. I think a case is a must have. I haven't had any issues with the display but the back easily got scratched setting it down around the house. I can't think of what exactly did it but I didn't place it anywhere rough. I don't plan on using the cameras but they are lower quality than I expected. I would recommend this for anyone needing a budget tablet for entertainment and everyday tasks. I think this has the ability to be a bit more but I wouldn't buy it expecting that. That's mostly a nice to have that you can grow into. And again, get a case.

I have had Lenovo products in the past so I was excited to get this tablet to try out. It came in a basic box but premium wrapping and cushioning. The tablet was about 60% charged right out of the box and I decided to charge it all the way up before getting started. USB-C cable is included inside the box. Upon powering up, the basic start up screens and updates occur. It does take on the longer side for this and I feel this is due to the lack of RAM on board. The screen is nice and colorful. Nothing seems to lag when transitioning through applications. Videos seem to run nicely but sometimes take a bit to load up. Where I noticed that this is a more basic setup is running multiple apps at a time, like YT videos in the background while I am researching the products or information in that video. It is certainly useable but power users will notice that this tablet only has 4 GB of RAM. I feel like this is more suited for a younger person or child, with a proper case, of course. Overall, it does the job intended and is handy to have around but it will not be replacing my daily tablet.
