Only fair color quality

No, I would not recommend this to a friendBuy the smaller 11" tablet. This has no sleeve.

The problem is that Lenovo does not make a sleeve that fits this. So it will almost certainly be broken or or dropped soon. Best buy will try to sell you an 11 inch sleeve as an accessory for this 12 inch tablet. Don't buy that as it won't fit.

Fantastic screen and hardware
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is a great work horse tablet for all around use. It is thin and relatively light at 1.2lbs. It has 128GB of memory, a microSD card slot and USB-C port for charging. In my mind there are two standout features of the tablet. First, the screen is big, bright and bold. It's a beautiful screen presentation at 2560x1600. The colors are vibrant, the blacks are deep and rich, and the viewing angle is surprisingly good. Video motion is smooth and I experience no "lag" with fast motion. Second, battery life is pretty good. With the screen at half brightness I streamed a video for about 10hrs before it got down to 5%. With the screen at full brightness it lasted around 5hrs. But note that the screen is plenty bright for most uses, and half brightness indoors is plenty. The sound quality from the speakers shocked me at how good it is. It sounds like surround sound. Obviously, it's not going to be as good as a larger system but I was impressed. The tablet can also be put in "PC mode" to use more like a traditional computer, but I do not have the keyboard etc to test that with. On that note, there are no other USB ports for external devices. They all need to be bluetooth devices to connect to the tablet. Here are a few things I did not like: -Despite what the description says, I did not receive a charger. There is an included USB-C charging cable, but no actual charger. -The front facing camera is on the long side of the tablet. I would prefer it be on the short side. -USB-C port does not support external monitor

A Solid Android Tablet
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my first Android tablet in a long time (over ten years) and I've been fairly impressed. Build quality has been outstanding. The screen while not an OLED is still quilt impressive with excellent viewing angles and no perceptional lag or blurring. Colors have been vibrant. The sound from the speakers has been simple amazing from a tablet in this price range. I have used this table for the better part of week during a recent hospital stay to watch some downloaded TV shows and movies and I was very impressed with both the picture and sound quality. Of couse adding a 2GB micro-SD card helped with that. It's not heavy from a tablet perspective and the bult in camera is best left alone the image quality is simple put, horrible. Honestly though do you really want to use a 12 inch tablet for picture taking? The front facing camera is "OK" for video calls if you have nothing else to use. Setup was easy and I wasn't forced to sit through more one or two updates before I was up and running. Nice!
