PC ran fine for the first year or so. Immediately after the 1 year time elapsed, the HD crashed. I probably won't be buying another Lenovo.

    Computer is unreliable!

I purchased this desktop computer due to fairly positive on-line reviews, but it failed within 30 minutes of setup. To make matters worse, the Best Buy customer service rep was less than cooperative when I returned the unit. I had to purchase the unit online (date 8/19/2016) and it arrived on 8/26/2016. Due to my hectic schedule, I did not attempt to install unit until 9/8/2016 and it failed. I returned the unit on 9/9/2016, which was the 14th day after it arrived, and the customer service representative kept telling me that I could not return the computer. Finally, after speaking to a manager, the transaction was quickly completed. Due to her rudeness and inadequate training, I will not purchase anything else from Best Buy. No one needs this frustration, especially after having to carry a failed computer back to the store. In the future, I'll purchase directly from manufacturer, as it's much easier.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaCentre 300s desktop. This system has two memory slots, one of which is open. A certified technician can add additional RAM to this system, up to a maximum of 16GB. The work must be done by a certified technician, so as to not void the warranty. lenovo

Bought this PC to use as a recorder for my home security cameras. Processor runs and records two cameras at 1080p with 40% processor power, while running the memory eating Blue Iris software. 100X better than wasting money on a task specific NVR. Now, I can also use the PC to do internet on my main tv thanks to the internal WIFI.

Try turning on your system then hold down the Fn key and hit F2 over and over until you see "Lenovo" on the screen. The system should boot to a screen that shows you a OneKey Recovery button. Click that and follow the steps to either restore your system to an earlier restore point or to factory initial settings. Hope this helps. lenovo

Replaced an older home desktop running XP and found Win10 a great improvement. The Lenovo was easy to set up, including external drives and other peripherals. Unit runs very quietly. With the ability to upgrade RAM and add additional USB ports, this desktop should handle my needs for the foreseeable future. My only negative comment is that the CD/DVD drive is not as robust structurally as I would expect.

My old computer crashed and I needed to replace my tower. I checked out a few and settled in on this. It's fast, compact, and lets me do more than I had been able to do with my older unit. Good purchase -- worth the money...

See my review of the Lenovo All-in-one that I returned for this (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-ideacentre-300-21-5-all-in-one-amd-a6-series-4gb-memory-500gb-hard-drive-black/4777901.p?id=1219819308900&skuId=4777901) The machine is NIGHT AND DAY better with an Intel i3 vs. an AMD A-6. Actually, even the i3 is more powerful than an AMD A8 and is close to an A10 and you save HUNDREDS off those macines.
