Pretty good price for the hardware that is in this lenovo. This comp wont take your breathe away with its processing speed, but its satisfyingly fast with a pretty good amount of ram (one extra slot for expansion) and hard drive space. This desktop is compact and comes with all the essentials, except for the built in WiFi adapter.. I do agree with one of the reviews, the built in WiFi on this machine is horrible, but that can be fixed with one of those USB WiFi adapters from amazon. However, One issue that I had was that the lenovo help center crashed a couple of times when I tried to update it, but that might be because I was updating and installing three to four programs at the same time. User error is usually the root of most problems with computers.. Overall, I am very satisfied with the lenovo 300s.

This system has a 3.2 ghz Intel i5 4th gen processor, 1 TB hard drive, DVD burner, 4.0 blue tooth, Wi-fi, etc. Lenovo 23 in 1080 HD montior was an extra 99.99 and MS office 79.99 for grand total of 509.00!! All in ones with these specs are double that price. Jump on it if tower unit isn't a problem.

Cannot beat the price and small form factor. It is 1/3 size of my old desktop and it is very stylish. Works great after it installs all Windows 10 and driver updates (it is slow and frequently restarting during installation process). No issues at all so far. Much easier and straightforward set up and installation in comparison to my previous PCs. Some of my old software do not work on Windows 10. I like new Windows 10, it is much better than Window 8.1 and minimalistic in comparison to Windows 7.

The desktop has great processing capacity with intel core 5 quad core processor. The computer is excellent for advanced office/home use. It is barebones computer with OS as you have to buy productivity software including office 365. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

I've purchased 10 of these and they are awesome. You can't beat the $300 price for hardware that otherwise costs $500+ at CDW and other places from Lenovo.

    New low in computing

The specs advertised on this model (i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD) seemed to suggest a decent PC even though the 4460s processor used on this model is on the slower end of the old Haswell i5s. Unfortunately when it arrived I realized the quality could not justify even the black Friday price. The HDD is an ultra-cheap Seagate Barracuda drive with a failure rate of over 40% within 3 years and it only gets worse from there. The rest of the components where all super-low-quality generic parts. The optical drive looked like it was held together by plastic toothpicks and needed pushing to the side to even go back in its place. The power supply had a shockingly low 180W output, likely insufficient if all peripherals are in use and forget about making any additions or upgrades. Upgrading to a decent 350W power supply would cost all of $15 except that the case won't support a standard ATX power supply. The memory was in a single stick. To get dual channel performance you would need to add a second stick. Not sure if the power supply could even support the extra 3W it would take. After powering on I discovered the provided keyboard did not even work until I moved it around to a different USB port. The Windows 10 also appeared to have a bad install as Microsoft edge would bring up simple pages such as google for a second before the page would turn all white and it would hang despite a good internet connection. Perhaps some Windows updates may have fixed the issue but I decided to return it at that point.

Not sure what the first reviewers problem is, but this is a great deal!. Some people should stay away from opinions.

Nice design and nice pricing. Created logins on Windows 10 and restarted the computer but never boot up again. Tried several things and spent hours. Then decided to return.

bought this because it had everything, wifi built inn, Bluetooth, 1tb hard drive, 8gb ram, but honestly not impressed! the wifi is slow, very slow, I have 50 mbs Verizon fios internet here at home and on my old desktop got speeds of 25 mbs down, 15 mbs up. This computer with built inn wifi was getting dial up speeds last night at less them 1mbs download. now is only getting 3 mbs, not happy about this, the Bluetooth isent working, the computer has already froze up a couple times, it seems slow for having so much to offer, I was expecting so much better. I found it strange the box it came in was so plain too, a plain cardboard box with just Lenovo printed on it, ussaly new computers have all the specs on the box... I'm seriously debating returning this. I mean the only thing I like about it is the windows 10... and all new computers have that, everything else sucks for a new computer!

    Broke during setup

I had just finished some of the initial setup and had started to setup my wireless printer, when the screen started flashing various colors. After about 5min turned it off. Tried to restart and then reset the system, but I continued to freeze. I returned it to Best Buy and Greek squad said it was defective. I've read several other reviews of people who had the same flashing colored screen and then computer not working.

I'm only commenting with respect to the missing dvd drive as noted by a previous reviewer. Mine is also missing the drive. Will have to take machine back for replacement. As he noted though, not worried, best buy will take care of the problem for sure but it is a hassle.

Missing DVD Burner (a Listed Component Item)

After setting up the initial programs and hours of updates for Window 10. I tried, but I couldn't find the DVD-B...Out of the DELIVERY box, the computer's DVD Burner was missing, with only 'the door' front covering the slot the DVD unit not fully installed. So back it goes...however, I also know that Lenovo builds great products and that Best Buy will make it right. I believe Best Buy .

    Terrible for the price

Lenovo decided to not put in a correct audio adapter, so that I couldn't use the microphone jack to talk online with friends or whatever. After a little bit, we decided to put it in for repairs (2 weeks to repair..) and we got it back and they said it was a "software issue," and to reset my computer would fix it. Good thing I've done that multiple times! Lenovo trying to get out of fixing something. Never purchasing another product from them again.
