System works great. It does get slow but I'm not sure that the slowness isn't caused by the internet. Otherwise, I've enjoyed it so far.

Great computer but unable to substantially upgrade

This is a terrific computer, but is in no way up-gradable beyond anything requiring a 300w power supply (computer comes with 280w). The motherboard power supply has a 10-pin atx wire, which to my knowledge and research there does not exist an adapter or upgrade since most everything else is 24-20 pin. Even on the Lenovo website I couldn't find any sort of upgrades - and yet they sell high end video cards! I did some staring at the motherboard and realized they had wired some power routes through the motherboard into the other components, as opposed to the PSU wiring directly into them, thus minimizing the wire count. Clever, but a pain in my behind. This is a significant problem for me because any respectable video card requires a stronger power source.... So, be warned, if you buy this thinking you can just pop in a new PSU and GPU, you will be very dissatisfied. That all aside, the core i5 is ridiculously fast, and after getting a taste of it and reading some reviews on intel processors, I have decided that I want to fork the extra cash for an up-gradable i7 build. I don't want to do any dual SLI hardcore stuff, I just want to be able to put in a 650w with a GTX 960... (I also purchased and plan to return a Dell Inspiron with AMD FX 8800 r7, r9 360 2gb ddr5, 12gb DDR3 ram which is noticeably slower than this i5 system, aside from games given the GPU difference. I found this ironic given that the Dell was designed as a low range gaming rig [it glows red])

    Solid mid range tower

Good computer for normal work, photo editing and supports most games. I easily (5 mins) added 8gb of RAM for a little better performance (total 16gb) since I always have an Excel workbook, Chat and numerous IE tabs open. Dedicated graphics and i5 processor should handle most tasks for home office and some gaming. I had Best Buy Geek Squad install MS Office before I took the computer home so no issues when I got it home. So far, so good.

This tower lasted 24 hours and the power supply went out. I had to drive an hour and a half one way to take it back to my nearest Best Buy store and exchange for another computer. The reason I ordered to begin with was to avoid the drive. Ended up spending 3 hours to and back to get a computer that would work. Replaced with a Dell.

I finally decided to upgrade my laptop and i start to look at some desktops. I found this one and for the price look like a bargain, so I bought it but from the very beginning started to act weird. I installed Windows 3 times before I can actually used and the second day a warning from motherboard show up. Returned.

So I bought this computer as a base to begin building upon for future upgrades and the like and to game. Played Starcraft 2 on High at ~45FPS Played World of Warcraft WOD at ~60FPS customizing the settings from medium to high settings. I've noticed the Hybrid drive start to do it's part and learn how I use the computer and make it faster. Another cool thing I found by looking at the computer diagnostics of my hardware is that you can expand your RAM to 64 GB in the 4 available slots; not just to 32GB. I have yet to open the computer up but online forums tell me that Lenovo will design the computer parts so that interchanging parts is challenging. Not that it's not doable but that you really can't just replace a few pieces as you collect them. The computer comes preinstalled with a number of Lenovo and 3rd party bloatware. Windows 10 is great at being easy to use so it's rather simple to remove. The only true concern was that among that bloatware is McAfee Antivirus which really slows down rigs and can be troublesome to remove. I replaced it with Webroot which they gave me for free at Best Buy for 6 months. The Security runs silent, and works consistantly. Good for casual gamers, family home computers, watching a movie, upgrading equipment... etc. Arguably the Best Buy at Best Buy for $649.99

I was looking for a little more Ram and HD space but I really liked the specs and positive reviews on this one for the price ($599 on sale) and I can always upgrade later as this comp. is easily upgradable. Set-up was pretty easy although getting used to Windows 10 is a little frustrating and I was a little confused at what Microsoft Edge was being that I was expecting Explorer. This computer is as quick as can be really, breezes through web pages and the amount open doesn't affect speed in the slightest. It runs almost silent, at least compared to my old tower. The keyboard included is actually a little nicer than I was expecting. I was expecting one of those tiny little freebies so bonus there. I have not used the dvd drive yet or the SD slot or wifi or bluetooth so this review may be a little premature but so far so good!

A friend of mine took me to Best Buy last Saturday to get me this computer. I was originally going to just get one from QVC since they offer the payment plan but my friend went on their site and checked out their desktops and said they were too much money. So that's how we landed at Best Buy. The Sales Rep was very helpful in helping us pick out this computer. Well since I've gotten it home and put together in about 20 mins it has been Awsome Sauce. It's fast, it's very quiet, and I actually like the Windows 10 I'm from the world of windows 7...lol. I also got a lenovo 23 inch monitor. The only thing that I had a gripe with once I found out is that there are no speakers. I love to listen to music especially when I'm on my computer working. But I decided to just get some Bose Bluetooth Speakers and call it a day. So far I have no complaints but it's only been a week I will do another review in about 3 months.
