Defective Microphone

I tried everything, including tech support. Called Lenovo, described the problem and was told I was sold a defective model and I should take it back. In reading more online about this particular model, it appears that this problem was not isolated just to the unit I purchased but has been experienced by many. DON'T BUY THIS COMPUTER.

The speakers on the monitor went out last week. This is disappointing, companies use to make great products. I purchased in last part of August.

My wife spent about 3 hours speaking digitally to a microsoft specialist to no avail & I called the best buy helpline & they gave me the microsoft number. My wife finally solved the problem herself.

First, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

He needed a new computer and a new laptop/table in one. This was part of the gifts he receive from me as a thank you for being a caring/grateful uncle to mine youngest son.

Long story short, a huge dog trampled on my desk for a burger and destroyed my original computer (which was touchscreen, auto camera, better sound and a much better and bigger screen). Not only does it not include what i just said but it actually cost more money than my original. Not satisfied, however, have no choice but to keep it.

My only complaint would be that the monitor doesnt have a vertical adjustment. It sits a little higher than I’m comfortable with. All in all its a great computer.
