Continual lock ups

Happened multiple times a day. Exchanged for another one and the same thing happened. Returned and changed brands and have had no problems at all.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i 27 All-In-One System, model number F0FA008GUS. Updating to the latest version of the BIOS files and drivers may correct the system freeze issue you are experiencing. First, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Resetting this computer back to original factory settings my correct the issue you are having with system freeze. Keeps freezing!!!

I literally just bought this computer a few weeks ago and I’ve had to do probably 9 hard restarts. Maybe they can update this or find a way to fix it. Other that that it boots up pretty quick and the screen is decent. Sad, a brand new computer needs to be unplugged and replugged in to get it to work

Best Purchase Ever!

Wrong!! This product is like new. I cannot even get my son to get off the computer. I especially love how this computer leaves ample of enough space on my son's desk so he can also complete his assignments with ease. I am currently looking for my next open box deal.

Beautiful, but freezing issues

The first was a floor model that starting making weird grinding noises, so bought a new one and returned the floor model. Now the new one, had it less than a month and has frozen up 5-6 times while in the middle of work. Only had a web browser opened and a spreadsheet. Had to unplug it every time for it to start working again. Haven't installed any other software. Extremely frustrating, and am now having to buy a 3rd computer (different brand) and return this one. Very aggravating, especially because I actually love the look and design on this one. Just wished it didn't have problems.

You mention not installing any other software, keep in mind there is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. Also, if you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. If these software issues do not effect you, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. I spent over a $1000 dollars and keeps saying error then just shuts off. Doesn't load pages in some formats just clicks and blank screen then u have to exit,,, the built in phone battery charger rarely works, but at least you get to wake up and learn it didn't charge your phone all night. And I get this message from Lenova a pop up in the bottom right corner and the dang thing freezes up! I have to pull the plug to restart! I own one of their touch screen lap tops too, it socks as well. slow and battery dies quick. wow I screwed up picking lenova computers for my business needs!!! i should of known better when the laptop wouldn't connect to my printer!! Still wont connect! I Should of bought the apple I was looking at for couple hundred more but salesman said good things.. Must of received a spiff for suckering me into it! Lenova is not a good business computer, freezes when I try to contact and complain too!! About to throw them both out the window and start over!!! My old HP "All in one" worked over 10 years before I even had an issue!!! I made a very poor choice choosing Lenova don't you do the same,,, sorry but it's the truth!!!!!!
