It starts out in S mode for Windows which doesn’t let you use the antivirus program that Best Buy gives you with the computer. Nothing wants to download or work on it. Ended up just putting it in a drawer for when my nephew comes to visit. Looking to buy a better computer.

It perfectly fills the void between my PC and my cell phone with enough power for my purposes. My previous laptop, an HP, suited my needs very well until I had to retire it, but this Lenovo which was less expensive offered equal or better performance.

Is super slow takes forever to update and if you need zoom For class it freezes all the time. I have a different brand and I have no issues with that one. I bought this product bc I needed a extra one for my boys school but I never thought it would be this bad.

Do not waste your money

I just bought it today and am returning it tomorrow. You get what you pay for. For it being brand new it has no reason to be in snail mode from the start. And if the manufacturer tries to respond, I did not even download anything to it yet. It’s a slow piece of junk and not worth a dime.

Cheap and horrible buy

It took forever to boot up, which is weird for a brand new device. It wouldn't connect to our wifi network and it took even longer to do a system reset. I wouldn't recommend this at all, it was initially purchased as a startup for a small kid but I was better off paying a little more for another computer or buying a iPad.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop, model number 81VS0001US, will bott from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 20-seconds. If you are getting slower boot times, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.
