Lenovo is really selling this kind of laptop? I know the specs of this laptop is low, but how can you use a laptop that takes 3 mins to open a browser and a whole minute to get to a website. Don’t even ask if I have a bad internet connection or not because my other laptops are flying with my internet connection. This laptop is really something else and they should stop making those. A brand new BASE LEVEL computer that cost $199 from Lenovo is worse than a random $50 laptop on eBay tbh. At this point I don’t even believe the RAM and processors in this laptop are the same as they described on the specs. I got Y-700 from Lenovo as well but that laptop didn’t even last a year(all I did was work, and very very light gaming). So now I can see that this brand is just not it.

It was the slowest computer I have ever used. Even when it wasn’t on internet and I was just trying to open a file, it would spin for a minute or two before opening. It would crash all the time. Needless to say... I returned it. When I called, they flat out told me it was a piece of junk.

Boot up took more than 7 minutes total from the time the power button was pressed until getting to the desktop screen after login. Even simple multi-tasking (two Webpage tabs open at once) was slow. Trying to run google classroom and opening a file caused it to freeze up and had to reboot...happened four times in one 2 hour session.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 Laptop, model number 81VS009GUS, will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less that 30-seconds. This configuration ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Even if you have switched out of S-Mode, Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo
