Can’t do a lot of multitasking on this laptop. Mines started freezing up and restarting after a month. Don’t have a lot of storage. You get what you pay for.

This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office and light internet browsing. If you are experiencing system freezing, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Its nice,compact and works well. I'm not a gamer so I have no idea if its good for that. Good price as well! Happy with my laptop

It doesn't have a lot of programs and functions like more the upgrade computers but it's very cute lightweight and durable but if you're one that needs a computer to do everything this will may not be your best choice

The screen dulls at times even with the brightness turned up. Also I didn't download Google Chrome and the storage was over a 1/4 so be wary of that.

Get rid of it and install something light, like Lubuntu. Windows 10 lags on this laptop and its just not a great fit because it uses up more than half of the 64GB flash memory, where as the Lubuntu takes up only about 5GB. You get better performance and better battery life when you replace the OS. Trust me, I work in IT and have a lot of experience with laptops and performance, and the only way to get the best bang out of a laptop like this, is to install Linux on it.

Very slow

I got this computer in order to keep up and work from home but it often crashes when working on it or just moves at a slow pace after clicking on anything. I’ve only had it a few weeks but it’s not the Best Buy I’ve ever made with a computer.

Lenovo laptop affordable quality

It meets my needs well. I was able to get it on sale, which made a big difference. The only drawback is the platinum gray finish has already chipped a little or has gotten scratched. The clerks who assisted me really took some time to make sure I got the package I needed -- Microsoft Office and Geek Squad insurance, which is why I use Best Buy for PC purchases.

It’s great for that, but the camera for her Webex meeting is awful. She uses my computer for that. This is great for the price and works for the main stuff she uses it for, but if you want a decent camera, I would look at something else.

Was told I would need at least 8 gb of memory for that. Switching out of S mode and changing accounts was a major pain. I had to return it due to not enough memory

The salesman showed me this model - an open-box unit. I got it up and running with all my peripherals in just a few minutes. I am a senior citizen who is not very proficient at technology but this computer is very, very easy to use and fast, too. I especially like the rubber and over-sized keypad buttons that make it easy to use; with past laptops I had to purchase a separate keyboard. HANDS DOWN The BEST FOR THE MONEY I HAVE BOUGHT IN YEARS!
