Nice lab bench computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a smaller computer to use at work and not tie up the one used for data analyses. I like that it takes up a small amount of bench space, runs along time on battery, and I can used Office365. Most of the storage of data is external, so the smaller amount of memory is not a problem. I am quite happy with this unit, the size is right, the screen is sharp and clear, and it is fast in running my programs. It is a great 2nd computer.

Wish I could still return it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this laptop for our 7 year old to do virtual homeschool. The first week was great. The second week not so much. We noticed the speed of the computer decrease terribly. The camera also stopped working. Keep in mind, she only uses the laptop for schoolwork. By the time I went online to return it, it was already too late. We did a factory reset on it which restored the camera but the speed is still not up to par. I would not recommend!

The Lenovo IdeaPad 1-14 laptop ships with a free 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (a $69.00 value). Even if you have switched out of S-Mode, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Good for what you pay for
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the cheapest laptops available and there's a reason for it. It's great for things like school and that sort of thing but by no means could be used for gaming or anything like that.
