First I'll start by saying that I wasn't expecting this machine to by any means fly. That being said I was horrified by how slow it actually was. Opening a browser window and navigating the internet was acceptable, but still slow. Beyond that don't expect to do much else. Trying to open more than one tab is a no. It just choked and took forever to open pages or tabs. I tried with both Edge and Chrome browsers. Neither was any faster. I bought this for my daughter thinking she can do her virtual schooling with it. Once the camera was running, even if it was just one other person, this computer would slow to a crawl. If you're just web browsing you can get by. If you're doing anything else I wouldn't recommend it.

Extremely good little laptop. Excellent for young students with light homework loads. Connects easily to just about any network. Works quite fast for its modest specs. The setup process is somewhat laborious it’s about the only “complain” I could think of.

I was not actively searching for a new laptop. On a Sunday afternoon I opened up an email from Best Buy noticed the item at a very reasonable price. I was familiar with the brand name though not familiar with the product. I am retired and didn't require a new laptop but the thought of a much lighter and compact unit seemed desirable. Being in the midst of the pandemic, I was surprised at the ease of purchase and pickup at the retail location in less than an hour. The unit has all the functions I may require; it will be available when travel can resume. I have access to any function that I may desire. I had not complaints with my old unit but the new one is, as noted much lighter and compact with a large screen. I am very happy with my purchase.

Once again, thank you for choosing the entry-level Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 Laptop. You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo

My main computer was dying and I could not find a new one I liked or could do what I needed. So I got this one for transferring files around until I found a new computer. It works fine for that but have to use an external drive as there is not much space on the computer itself.

I had to have it replaced within the first 30 days. On both laptops when you go into the Microsoft office word in the top right corner it always looks as if it had water damage. Its really slow even with high speed internet. I went back a third time abs was told it wasn't refurbished. Everything about it besides there box says otherwise.

This machine does run. You can browse web pages. The CPU and memory can hardly run the OS windows 10. The antennas can barely keep wifi active and there is no ethernet port for a wired connection. This is a usable product if you basically only need it for web browsing, and even that is poor. I do bot recommend except for the most basic needs.

I purchased this as a gift for someone that only uses a PC sparingly and it seems to fit what he needs. Loved that it included a year of Microsoft Office Suite as well. Not a good computer if you plan to add and run a lot of programs and it’s a little slow booting up.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 Laptop, model number 81VS0001US, will boot to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 20-seconds, thanks to the 64GB eMMC solid state hard drive. If you are getting slower boot times, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

I got this computer to replace my 7 year old computer. I fastly learned that just because it's newer it's not better. Not only did I buy the computer for 200 plus bucks I had to get a hard drive as well because it doesn't have enough space for me. I guess you get what you pay for. I should have opted for a little more expensive computer with much more space, before getting this I knew nothing of computer specs....now I do

The Lenovo Ideapad 1 is a good laptop for people who want just the basics, like web browsing, emailing, as well as watching YouTube videos. While you surf the web though, you might be living the single tab life. Other than the slow AMD A6 processor, is a good overall laptop.
