The camera picture quality looks 280p! The 3.8GB of usable ram makes this almost unusable because everything takes up to 5 seconds or more to load. Bare in mind I took this off Win S mode but that was a mistake because it seemed to be running a tad faster with S mode enabled but it wasn’t that much faster. What makes this worse is that I cannot return this because I lost the receipt but lesson learned. I got this on Black Friday for $119, not worth the regular price for sure!

After removing all the unnecessary apps and optimizing windows configuration, This computer works fine to navigate on the web, work on MS office (1 Yr included). The web cam quality is very poor, Zoom works fine but your video will be blurry and low definition. Recommendation for Lenovo add a HD $11 web cam, and keep Windows 64bits clean, avoid any unnecessary background app. My typical run: Microsoft edge, Discord, zoom and Spotify.

Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available (and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you do not need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Here is a link to instructions for switching from Windows 10 S-Mode to Windows 10 Home: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode . If you have switched out of S-Mode Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC” Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on-screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Bought another security app that works fine. I am pleased with my new laptop.

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Well it will not download it, I don't want to download anything else for the fear of it not working. It comes up with needing to remove a program in order to download the game, but that the program is essential for the laptop, and not allowed to re-add it after being removed. I specifically told the young man that I wanted a laptop to use when I send in my Dell in to be repaired, a Dell Inspirion 15 I purchased from your store. I'm not happy with this. Employees need to research before Assuming that unknowing customers TRUST their answer.

I don't know what Lenovo has pre-loaded on this thing to make it run like it's from 1999, but there are WAY more computers in this price range that far outperform the Ideapad...steer clear of this laptop and look at non-Lenovo computers. I've seen Lenovo reply to a few people about how this computer is an "entry-level" laptop not made for running anything intense. But guys, it doesn't even boot up internet explorer or google! That's so unacceptable; I can't begin to imagine using the Xbox installed apps on it xD

Took 5 hours of upgrading itself. Good thing i decided to set ut up 1 day b4 the meeting. It worked but was too slow to allow me to take part in my meeting to my satisfaction. It would stop working at critical meeting points and need ti b rebooted. Each reboot would cost 5 to 10 minutes of meeting time. Best buy sales person said it would work fine and I'd b able to set it up in 5 minutes. Yeah right! I returned the computer. Best buy personal were difficult. They said I had to go home and reset wipe the disk b4 return. Really?!? Go home and come back later? Nothing on my recipe says I must do this!!! I want my money back for 2 hours of lost time!!!
