Great Laptop for the price!!! Things have changed a bit since I have had Laptop, but this has to be the most easiest one I have ever purchased. Turn it on and Carlita starts setting up the whole laptop, it was awesome...Ordered in store and it was at my home 2 days later. I highly recommend it, You will not be disappointed!!! Also I am disabled and it's light weight and bigger keyboard really makes it a whole world of difference.

Ok, first thing first.... The laptop is very affordable, functional, and a great buy for a beginner or young adult or child. The features are aligned with most other computers, so if you want to buy a cheap and regular laptop, this is for you. Now, the issue with this laptop is that you can't upgrade the memory, so as a result, if you want to do some complicated functions, the computer with lag and freeze. By the way, when I say complicated functions, I mean doing a zoom or Teams meeting. The fact that you can't upgrade the memory is a bad sign to stay away. However, if you want affordability instead of ability, then this is for you.

Let me start off by I had low expectations on this laptop. I was only planning to use it for paying bills online and keeping track of my finances via Excel. PROS: -Gets the job done as expected -Keyboard is perfect (typing on Lenovo's are always amazing) -Windows S is perfect for doing what I was planning to do while staying protected. Keep this in Windows S mode for sure. -Kind of heavy CONS: -There are some delays sometimes when I try to type something on the search bar, the run bar on the bottom left, etc. This led me to be frustrated because for example I had to check to make sure the address I typed in the web browser was correct before I hit enter. -There is some back light bleed on the bottom Overall, it's not a bad laptop. It will get the work done but just make sure to not have too many windows open. I think it has something to do with the AMD Processor though; I've heard that the Intel Celeron 11.6 model doesn't have much of the delay issue. If you just want to browse the web and input numbers on excel, then it should be fine; just be warned that there is an occasional lag delay on input and it drives me nuts that I have to return it. Really wanted to keep it but yuck. I even uninstalled McAfee (don't really need it with Windows S) but the occasional delay input lag is still there.

Bought two for my kids. My friend told me they were going to be very slow and I should buy a better lab top. But he's a computer geek so I just thought he was just being picky. so I went to Bestbuy to see how it ran in person. It barely ran youTube about 30 seconds of lag be for it came on and was still giving me the spinning circle. I'm going to have to return these. I was so happy that I was able to get these for my kids now I have to keep looking.

Once again, thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14 Laptop. You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo

I wanted an inexpensive backup laptop. The stripped down version of Win10 should be left as the OS. I did the upgrade and it slowed the machine way down. Unfortunately the mobile WIN10 version wont work with 3rd part programs if it is not an app. SO I had to switch to WIN10. It works decent for what I need it to do, but it is not a full out laptop. If you need full WIN10, get an actual laptop.

This was an early black Friday purchase. And it was good for a little while. However, I reformatted the machine after disabling Windows S mode. Was able to activate with Win 10 Home. However even after reformatting, doing all the Win 10 updates I can say this laptop is not suitable for work or...... school use. I bought the Ideapad 120s on early BF before, although it was a smaller screen and 2GB Ram it still rocked! That being said the only reason why I am keeping it is because I got MS Office for 1 year for free which makes the cost of this laptop chump change after you do the math. It does have a high quality screen. Things I hate about this one: * Poor performance on the chipset even for personal use you will get bottlenecked too much if you do too much or too little for this matter., *229 retail price is absurd for performance, other OEMS have faster quality budget machines for the price. *Only 2 USB ports and they are on the left. The least they could have done was 1 on the left and one on the right. No USB C port, the Ideapad 120s had one and also had the configuration, not everyone has the money for a Bluetooth Mouth. I debated returning this item but will keep it for basic use, even if it is sluggish at times. But I will think 2x about buying basic with the AMD Chipset. Parents, don't buy this laptop for you kids if it goes back on sale on BF They know technology more than use adults and can tell you Lenovo made a stinker here.

Hello, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with the performance and the ports of the Lenovo IdeaPad 14" laptop. If you need additional USB ports we recommend a USB hub like this one https://www.bestbuy.com/site/iogear-hub-black/6411509.p?skuId=6411509 If you are experiencing slower than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. A bit slow to my taste (with 8th gen i7 for everyday use). However, with this price ($130+tax) and windows 10-Home included, I cannot complain anything. The laptop was delivered timely. Everything works without a hick-up. Battery-life is excellent for web surfing with occasional youtube use. The only real shortcoming is the lack of wired ethernet connector, which I don't miss much. it even comes with an HDMI Type-A connector!

Bought on BF. For $130 can’t beat the deal. It included one year of Microsoft office for free. It’s pretty basic. There’s no backlight on the keyboard, it’s not touch screen, nor does it have a full number pad. The battery life is good and when not plugged in, it’s good at saving power by going to sleep when not being used. Definitely worth it. I can use it the whole year until my office subscription expires and toss it into the trash and still be happy about this buy.
